Chrissy Teigen is celebrating her 50th day of sobriety, and it sounds like she isn't going to fall off the wagon anytime soon!
The 35-year-old model shared the big news on Instagram where she told fans it has almost been two months since she had alcohol of any kind. As you know, Teigen has been not drinking since she got caught up in a cancel culture moment surrounding a few nasty tweets she sent to others in the past.
"Today is my 50-day sobriety streak! it should be nearly a year but I had a few (wine) hiccups in the road. this is my longest streak yet! I still dunno if I’ll never drink again but I do know it no longer serves me in ANY way. I don’t get more fun, I don’t dance, I don’t get relaxed. I get sick, fall asleep, and wake up sick, having missed what was probably a fun night,' Chrissy began.
Chrissy Teigen: I Had My Fun With It!
She continued, "I had my fun with it and appreciate anyone that can enjoy it responsibly!!!! this is also my third day this week working out which is unheard of for me, and my bears are not making it easy but loving."
Back in December of 2020, Chrissy revealed she had been sober for a least a month, and claimed she was slowing down on the booze because she was done "embarrassing" herself. At the time, she also said the drinking had caused the negative side effect of not being able to sleep.
The supermodel credits Holly Whitaker's book, 'Quit Like a Woman: The Radical Choice to Not Drink in a Culture Obsessed with Alcohol.' She wrote, "One month ago, on my birthday, I got this book from my doctor and friend,” adding, “I have been sober ever since and even if you can’t see yourself doing it or just plain don’t want to, it is still an incredible read.”
