Heidi Klum Credits Abby Lee Miller For Daughter, Leni's, Flourishing Modeling Career

Leni Klum the daughter of model Heidi Klum was apart of the viral Dolce & Gabbana show that took place in Italy earlier this week. The mom spoke with PEOPLE and couldn’t stop herself from gushing over her 17-year-old daughter’s modeling debut.

The proud mom detailed that she was beyond “excited” for her daughter who displayed confidence that she is delighted she possesses. “I asked her before, and she said, ‘No, Mom, I got this. I’m just going to wing it,’ you know?” she said of Leni who clearly didn’t need her mom to hold her hand

Winging it is not something taught at the Abby Lee Dance Company, where Klum dropped the bombshell that her daughter studied at.

Yes, that Abby Lee Miller taught Klum’s daughter. Apparently, it isn’t just for the show, Miller produces stars like she has been claiming all along.

“You have to learn really hard routines, and you have to dance in front of all the judges,” shared Klum with the publication. But it’s worth it because “she [Leni] has a lot of trophies at home from that time.”

The Making The Cut judge even went as far as to credit her daughter’s experience with Miller’s dance company for the reason she landed this high-profile Dolce & Gabbana “Alta Moda” show.

Of course, Klum took a little bit of credit, pointing out that growing up, Leni was playing with all the heels she had in her closet. “She’s been walking in the craziest heels that she found in my closet since she, basically, started walking.”

Let’s not forget, Klum is not just a model, she is a Supermodel and that lifestyle had Leni in front of cameras before she could even grasp the concept of what a camera is. “She grew up with cameras around her, she doesn’t really get that intimidated with that kind of stuff.”

Miller is known for whipping her dancers into shape On Dance Moms but more so, blasting their mothers for not knowing their role. Chances are she wasn’t yelling at Leni or the former Project Runway judge like that, but some of the other dancers she “made stars” had a tough time with Miller’s teaching tactics.

Jojo Siwa and her mother were regularly berated by Miller for Siwa’s speech impediment and her “bad feet”. Yet the mother and daughter who walked out of classes a handful of times came out on top. Siwa has made millions off of hair bows and other random things.

Maddie Ziegler and her sister Mackenzie were once the dance teacher’s favorite students but by the end of the girl’s time at the dance studio, the relationship had soured. A nervous Klum sat in the front row of the show to support her daughter and later shared videos and pics of Leni’s walk down the runway.

The mom tells PEOPLE that she is grateful for Miller’s studio mostly because it prepared her daughter for the casting side of the business.
