Tarantino Style

The film looks to heavily feature the church that Quentin Tarantino used in his hit film Kill Bill. You know, the one where love scorned Bill sent his goons to kill the Bride/Beatrix. Musgraves also featured a pretty eclectic and impressive cast including Eugene Levy of Schitt’s Creek fame, The Haunting Of Hill House actress Victoria Pedretti, musician Princess Nokia among many others. The singer shared the exciting news with her fans via social media “Fall apart September 10 with ????-???????: the album + film,” she wrote describing the long-awaited album and companion film as “A modern tragedy told in three acts.” The “Slow Burn” singer encouraged her fans to” pre-order now” and if they do, they get “to hear the title track.”

Director and part visionary of the film Bardia Zeinali who has worked with Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, and plenty of other musicians released a statement about Star-Crossed. “We wanted it to feel cinematic and epic without compromising the heart and the emotion. High Drama!

Musgraves recently went through a crazy romance that ended in divorce and fans believe that that trailer indicates that she will be addressing the mistakes she made and the red flags she didn't see. The singer dons a sexy pair of heels as she plays a bride in a dramatic wedding gown walking towards the iconic church. Her voice hauntingly sings over the scene “and then the darkness came” as she makes her way to the church. The scene has changed from a sunny happy day to a dark, lonely night. After she is married the scenes transition from the wedding dress to a housewife in an almost cult-like setting. Musgraves’s character is seen indulging in pills, crying, and essentially having a complete breakdown.

“In Two Years, You're Going To Be Divorced”

//Kacey

The singer recently opened up to Elle magazine about her unexpected divorce from Ruston Kelly after a short marriage. “If you would've told me the night of the Grammys, ‘Hey, in two years, you're going to be divorced and have a whole ‘nother album written,’ I would have been like, 'F--- off. No. No way.’” Musgraves was just as shocked about her divorce as her fans were. However, it looks like recording this new album may have been therapeutic for her. She released the titles of the tracks featured on this album, something tells us that "What Doesn't Kill Me", "Breadwinner", "Justified", and "Good Wife" might be the stories Musgraves fans have been dying to hear.
