The Maroon 5 music catalog is expansive by now but how do you justify forgetting the lyrics to one of your most popular songs? Adam Levine is baffled as well! The lead singer of the band stumbled on some lyrics then proceeded to completely forget the second verse of the band's single “She Will Be Loved”. “OMG. I sang the second verse first,” said Levine as he laughed off his “f**k up” in front of the Milwaukee audience. “I love this so much. You guys, I have never done that before. In 20 f***ing years.” The concertgoers laughed along with Levine and helped him jog his memory as they kept the momentum of the song going.
'20 Year Anniversary’
Unfortunately, the singer still had to come to a complete stop to try and remember what part he was actually singing. But, before Levine went on, he had to reflect on there being a “first” time for everything. “I’ve been singing that song, and in 20 f***ing years. This next year will be the 20-year anniversary of our first album,” he said of their debut album “Songs About Jane”. “I have not one time f***ed that up. And it’s funny because I didn’t even need to admit it because you guys came with me on the journey.” Admittedly 20 years is a great track record for never forgetting a lyric! He made sure to share with fans that he appreciated the push and jokingly admitted “that was not planned — it was a complete mistake.”
Adam? Funny? Who knew
The 42-year-old and his group held a concert at the American Family Insurance Amphitheater and while that song came out in 2002, fans were dying to hear it. The former Voice coach obliged but didn’t realize her was heading right into a brain fart. Regardless, he recovered and even gave a pseudo stand up show. Who knew the musician was also somewhat of a comedian or at least knows not to take himself so seriously. Levine ultimately sounded just like he did 20 years ago when the song first came out so it was worth the wait.
Did It In Style
Levine stood out from the rest of his band because, well, that’s what he does. he sported a pair of cheetah print shorts, sneakers, and a bold printed collar shirt. None of the prints matched but that doesn’t matter for the singer who often steps out in wild prints and recently showed off his eccentric, calming home in AD magazine. He sported a lime green buzz cut; he has dabbled in other colors in the past like a platinum blond similar to the one Scott Disick uses to stay young.

There’s A Video
TMZ obtained a fan-shared video of how the entire ordeal went down. Everyone was in great spirits and Levine even turned to one of the guitarists, James Valentine, and confirmed with him if he did in fact mess up. When they both realized the misstep, that’s when Levine started over. And in case you were wondering the packed concert followed the strict COVID-19 laws put in place by the state of Milwaukee. You either had to be fully vaccinated or showed a recent negative COVID test.
