Adam Levine addressed the complaints via his Instagram story by starting off with a big 'thank you' and expressing how honored he was to perform at such a prestigious event. Adam then went on to speak about how excited he is about the band's concerts, and that it's important the he and his fellow bandmates always give it their all. 'There were some things holding me back sonically last night, and I let them get to me, and it impacted how I was behaving onstage which was unprofessional, and I apologize for that', Levine said.

Adam continued by saying that he struggled quite a bit and that it's really hard for him to mask the struggle, when he was speaking about some of the technical difficulties that took place during the show. Levine stressed that he really just wanted everything to look and sound good, insisting that Maroon 5 loves their Chilean fans and the band truly enjoys coming to Chile. He apologized again because he knows that the performance wasn't their best, but that's what they always strive to achieve.

The performance of Maroon 5 could potentially be described 'reluctant' more than anything else, but is still seemed to cause the band, and especially Levine, to appear 'less than thrilled' to be up on stage. However, their sound and enthusiasm did appear to improve as the show progressed. But Levine went on to confuse people because as Levine and Maroon 5 began to play and the crowd sang, everyone was puzzled when to Levine said, 'Well, if you want to do my job, go ahead.'

Levine tried to do himself and the band a favor by wasting as little time as possible before posting his apology on Instagram, in which he stated how important it was for him to explain himself to the fans because 'it was something that they deserved'. Even though he didn't seem to be as he performed, he said, 'I'm so excited and passionate about concerts, and about being my best and the band being our best and being our best for you guys.'
