The 41-year-old—arguably one of the greatest basketball players of all time—recently informed his former team, the Los Angeles Lakers, that they could navigate free agency without him in mind, as he won’t return to the California-based team for another spin around the block. Instead, he’s instructed his agent, Rich Paul, to speak with interested teams and get back to him with offers so he can make his decision. Earlier today, the NBA champion broke his silence on his exit, thanking the fandom for their support.
