In a second Instagram post, a more emotional side of the move was captured with the family packing boxes, bidding adieu to their longtime home, and getting ready for the cross-country move. Murgatroyd said that as the family traveled to Florida, she found unexpected new tears and a sense of uncertainty over leaving the comfort of her home.
The TV personalities said the move has already been worthwhile, despite the emotional goodbye. Their three sons accepted the slower pace and sunshine, Murgatroyd affirmed before adding, “no looking back, only looking forward” as they enter a new chapter of their lives.

The couple revealed that their first meeting on the Broadway production of “Burn the Floor” in 2009 was far from romantic. While Chmerkovskiy admitted he was immediately drawn to her, Murgatroyd confessed her first impression was much less flattering.
Speaking to Access Hollywood, Murgatroyd recalled thinking her future husband was “an a-hole,” explaining that he walked into the production with what she described as “this big a-s ego.” Although she admitted he was “very tall and handsome,” she said both of them were in relationships with other people at the time.
Chmerkovskiy laughed off the revelation, saying he knew how she felt as he did not ask the question. The exchange was soon the topic of conversation among the interviewers.

The duo later came together on “Dancing with the Stars,” and their romance was revived despite being initially broken up. They eventually reconciled, got engaged in 2015, and now have a family.

The couple said they made a conscious effort to make it work in their marriage due to the added responsibilities of parenthood. Following the birth of their first son Shai, Murgatroyd admitted that combining motherhood and marriage turned out to be one of her biggest challenges.
