Donald Trump’s relationship with longtime aide Natalie Harp is drawing fresh attention following new claims in the book “Regime Change” by journalists Maggie Haberman and Jonathan Swan.

According to a new report, the book paints Harp, 34, as one of the president’s most devoted staff members, describing how she remains constantly by his side with a laptop and portable printer, ready to provide news articles, social media updates and any information he requests. Her dedication is said to have earned her the nickname “the human printer” within Trump’s circle.

Harp, a cancer survivor, has previously credited Trump’s 2018 Right to Try legislation with helping her access experimental treatments during her battle with the disease. According to the authors, her loyalty has only deepened since then.

The book claims Trump frequently praised Harp’s commitment, allegedly telling aides that she was among the few people who “loved” him as much as his own family.

“All of you will go off and make money,” he reportedly told the staff before adding a striking four-word remark: “She’ll never leave me.”

The surprising comment has since gone viral online, raising eyebrows about the duo. On X, one individual noted, “Weird way to admit that his kids don’t love him,” while another claimed, “The poor woman must be lying to keep currying his favor.”

Haberman and Swan allege in their book that Harp sent Trump several deeply personal messages, including notes such as, “You are all that matters to me. I don’t ever want to let you down.

Another note expressed a desire to talk with the president about “everything and nothing.”

The dynamic reportedly became so unusual that White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles privately questioned the situation.

According to the book, Harp also plays a significant role in Trump’s online presence, helping manage content on Truth Social and sourcing material that captures the president’s attention.

One example involved an article that compared Trump to several powerful historical figures. Trump reportedly referenced the piece later while discussing the authority of the presidency during his second term.

The authors further claim Harp has been a strong supporter of Trump’s efforts to redesign parts of the White House.

In one anecdote, staff reportedly found the president attempting to attach gold decorative pieces to the Oval Office fireplace mantel with superglue. While others reacted cautiously, Harp is said to have “gushed with delight.”

Interest in Harp has intensified in recent days after she was photographed accompanying Trump during several public appearances.

Over the weekend, she joined the president at his golf club outside Washington, D.C., and was also among the aides who accompanied him to Lafayette Square as he reviewed ongoing improvements near the White House grounds. During the visit, she was seen showing information on her phone to Trump and other officials.

Questions about the relationship have surfaced before. In his 2025 book “All or Nothing: How Trump Recaptured America,” author Michael Wolff claimed Harp frequently slipped personal notes into the briefing materials prepared for the president.

Wolff claimed some of the messages described Trump as “the alpha and the omega,” “the be-all and end all,” and asked, “What would I be without you?”

Wolff also claimed some people within Trump’s orbit viewed Harp’s devotion as unusual.

“Natalie Harp’s story is a piece of work,” he said, alleging that “everybody was in a major kerfuffle over this, including the Secret Service warning the president of the United States, or warning aides to the president whose job it was then to bring to the president whether they did or not, that they saw her as a danger to herself and to him.”

Harp’s brother, Preston Harp, has likewise publicly criticized the relationship, describing it as “very unhealthy” and referring to Trump as a “national embarrassment.”

Amid mounting scrutiny, the White House has come out to defend Harp and her close relationship with Trump.

Responding to questions after the publication of “Regime Change,” spokesperson Kush Desai praised her work and loyalty, telling People Magazine that she is a valued member of the administration.

“Natalie Harp is a beloved White House official, and the Fake News Media will never understand what it’s like to be as trusted and admired as her,” Desai said.
