Jenny Mollen Reflects On Her ‘Bizarre’ Separation From Jason Biggs

Mollen addressed the end of her marriage in a new interview, revealing that it felt “surreal” and “really bizarre” to be single for the first time in 18 years. She stressed that her separation from Biggs did not mean the end of their relationship, thanks to their two children, sons Sid and Lazlo.
“We live in two different places, but we’re still tethered. We have kids. We still talk 18 times a day about everyone’s schedule and after school and holidays,” Mollen told Amanda Hirsch on the latest episode of the “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast, adding:
“So it isn’t a normal breakup where you’re like, ‘See ya!’ and then maybe we’ll bump into each other in 10 years and talk about it. It’s not like that.”
The Former Lovers Are In A New Kind Of Romance

When Hirsch chimed in that Mollen and Biggs were no longer in a romantic relationship, the actress disagreed. “It’s still romantic. We still love each other. It’s just not, I don’t know. It’s a different type of romance. It’s, like, your best friend,” she explained.
Mollen added that her bond with Biggs remains “solid” despite their separation, noting they “have always been amazing co-parents and teammates.” She doubled down on having no issues with her soon-to-be ex-husband, claiming the “weirdest” part of their split was fans’ reactions to the news.
The TV personality reassured fans that they had no reason to be worried about her or Biggs, confirming that there was no bad blood between them. As for a future romance, Mollen declared that dating was the last thing on her mind as she was more focused on her kids.
Jenny Mollen And Jason Biggs Ended Their Relationship After 18 Years

Mollen and Biggs’ separation made waves in May, with The Blast reporting that a rep for the former couple had confirmed the news. The representative claimed the duo remained on “great terms” after their split and were focused on co-parenting their two sons.
“They are very much connected. I have no doubt that they will remain on excellent terms,” the rep declared. They added that there were no issues between the pair, who reunited as a family to celebrate Biggs’ 48th birthday on May 12, days before their separation became public.
Biggs and Mollen first met on the set of the 2008 movie, “My Best Friend’s Girl.” The actor proposed in January 2008, and they eloped in a private ceremony that April. They exchanged vows a second time in July of that year in Napa, California, with about 40 guests in attendance.
The Actor’s Priorities Allegedly Played A Role In Their Separation

Following news of Biggs and Mollen’s breakup, The Blast covered claims that the actor’s priorities had influenced the end of his marriage. A source alleged that the entertainer’s goals had changed after embracing sobriety and losing a ton of weight.
“He wants to eliminate any source of stress from his life, and it just wasn’t going to work for him, sticking in a marriage that had lost its spark,” the source claimed. Although Biggs no longer wanted to build a future with Mollen by his side, she was allegedly on board with his decision.
The “Angel” star reportedly understood where her estranged husband was coming from and believed it was the right decision for them to go their separate ways. The source added that they planned on remaining friends and maintaining a respectful relationship.
Jenny Mollen Spotted Supporting Jason Biggs After Botched Family Time

Earlier this month, the former couple made waves for their first public sighting after their separation. The Blast shared that they were seen eating with their kids at a restaurant in New York City before things took a turn for the worse for the actor.
Eyewitnesses noted that the “American Pie” star appeared to suffer from indigestion and had tried to ease his symptoms by drinking water. Unfortunately, the problem persisted, forcing Biggs to leave the restaurant with Mollen in tow.
The actress supported her estranged husband, linking arms with him as they walked, but he continued to look distressed. At one point, Biggs had to stop and lean against a nearby structure to rest, while Mollen tried to comfort him.
