On the latest episode of her “Dumb Blonde” podcast, Bunnie addressed her shocking divorce from Jelly Roll and their plans for the future. Despite their differences, she claimed she and her estranged husband remained on the best of terms and ended their marriage amicably.

“We’re literally settling our divorce in like… We’ve done it in like, what? Three weeks? Two weeks?” Bunnie shared, noting there was a cooling period before the court signed off on their settlement. She claimed things between them were so good, they weren’t backing off from having a child. In the podcaster’s words:

“We’re still having a baby. We’re still having a baby together. So, we have been the most unconventional couple that you guys have ever encountered.”

Bunnie reiterated that she and Jelly Roll were set to co-parent together, dubbing him her best friend and someone she loves. As for why they were still having a baby despite their separation, she explained earlier in the episode how heartbreaking her fertility issues had been.

When they decided to have a baby, Bunnie began her IVF journey, which she described as “one of the loneliest, darkest journeys.” She stressed that it wasn’t “all bells and whistles,” recalling how the process took a toll on her physical and mental well-being. 

“It is not a beautiful journey. It completely wrecked me. It wrecked me emotionally, spiritually, and physically. It was so hard on me that for the past year and a half, I became a shell of the person I was,” the media personality lamented. Unfortunately, the couple lost four embryos during their baby-making journey.

Bunnie shed more light on the estranged couple’s journey to have a child, revealing that they were both on hormones to boost their fertility because Jelly Roll had “low sperm count.” She claimed the drugs made him “a freaking nightmare to be around,” while she became more introverted.

As fate would have it, they did not enjoy the fruits of their labor, as they lost four embryos, including two twins. Fighting back tears, Bunnie described the losses as “gut-wrenching” and “heartbreaking,” noting that it made her spiral into a negative place.

“You get so mad at God,” she said, stating that she questioned why people who didn’t deserve children had them without difficulty, while the two people desperate for a child couldn’t have one. “It’s like every time we are met with a f-cking roadblock, and that takes a toll on a relationship,” Bunnie added.
