Reebok is doing things BIG this summer. In addition to releasing new colorways of Angel Reese‘s popular AR1 signature sneaker, the shoewear company has announced its next player partner signing and shared that it’s returning to the world of football (or soccer, if that’s what readers prefer to call it). So, what’s on the docket? Check it out below.
Reebok Announces The Next Edition Of Angel Reese’s Wildly Popular Signature Sneaker, ‘Poison Angel’

According to a press release sent to The Blast by Reebok, WNBA superstar Angel Reese is preparing to launch the next edition of her wildly popular signature sneaker, the Angel Reese 1, or AR1, for short. At the time of this publication, Reese and Reebok have launched a variety of different colorways, including the all-pink Mebounds, the pearl-white Diamond Dust, and the monochromatic grey Giving Grace.
Next week, the Boston-based shoewear company will release an attention-grabbing all-green pair with hints of red called “Poison Angel.” See the pics above and below! “The Angel Reese 1 ‘Poison Angel’ colorway is bold by design,” said Reese. “It represents confidence, edge and owning your space. This colorway is for anyone who plays fearlessly, stands out from the crowd and isn’t afraid to be seen.”
Angel Reese Has Been On Top Of Her Game

Don’t forget, Reese launched the first edition of her signature shoe last September, per The Blast. All of the colorways come equipped with the same technology, including an exoskeleton upper, the company’s signature Energy Return System, a TPU stability cup, traction, and more.
At the time, Reese said the first edition of her signature sneaker was more than just what meets the eye. “… it’s my style, my story, and my stamp on the game,” she said. “Reebok and I built something that’s true to who I am, and I hope it pushed others to stand in their power, too. At the end of the day, it’s built for basketball—made to move and perform at the highest level.”
Reebok Joins Forces With St. John’s University Commit Tounde Yessoufou

Earlier this week, The Blast received another press release from Reebok announcing its recent player-partner signing, Tounde Yessoufou. The St. John’s University commit has quickly become one of the college basketball’s most talked-about players.
The 6-foot-five baller is known for his explosive athleticism, physicality, and relentlessness on the hardwood. “Reebok continues to make big moves in Basketball,” Yessoufou said. “I’m honored to join the team and partner with a brand that shares a similar mindset. We’re doing things differently and making an impact on young players.”
Yessoufou—the first native-born athlete from Benin to sign a shoe deal with a major company—made waves earlier this year when he withdrew from the NBA draft to transfer to St. John’s under head coach Rick Pitino.
During his freshman year at Baylor, the standout athlete averaged 17.8 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 2 steals per game.
Reebok Is Making A Major Comeback To The World Of Football

In addition to the news above, Reebok announced its return to the world of football with the launch of its newest boot: the Sidewinder 26 Elite FG.
It’s the company’s first performance football boot in decades and underscores Reebok’s continued investment in team sport and performance innovation, according to a press release shared with The Blast.
The boot, inspired by a 1996 archival design and reimagined for today’s athlete, will launch on July 1, 2026, and is spearheaded by elite athletes Dusan Vlahovic, Trevoh Chalobah, Kayla Rendell, and Iker Casillas.
“The Sidewinder 26 Elite FG gives me the confidence to strike with precision, power and total intent in every moment,” said Vlahović. “It’s built for control under pressure and the explosive responsiveness – that’s what I rely on to perform at my best.”
The Sidewinder’s Tech
The Sidewinder 26 Elite is designed for attackers, midfielders, and defenders, and comes packed with advanced technology. “Lightweight yet supportive, it enables sharp cuts, quick transitions and complete command of the ball at speed, translating instinct into decisive execution at the highest level,” the press release reads.
Reebok’s new football boot comes with a Premium Synthetic Microfiber Upper, Supra Skin, Power Unit, which helps prevent power loss when striking the ball, Vestamid Plate, and a Shooting Brake.
“Reebok has a deep legacy in football, and returning to the game is an important step in our broader performance strategy,” said Todd Krinsky, CEO of Reebok. “With Sidewinder, we’re bringing a new energy and a distinct point of view to the sport – built for today’s athlete and what comes next.”
