LeBron James‘ comments about stay-at-home wives have resurfaced amid ongoing uncertainty surrounding the next chapter of his NBA career.
The basketball icon once remarked that he would have little interest in having a stay-at-home wife if he were currently single.
Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Lakers star is reportedly in discussions over a new contract, while other teams, including the Golden State Warriors, have been linked to the four-time champion.
LeBron James Said A Stay-At-Home Partner ‘Wouldn’t Float’

For much of his more than two-decade NBA career, LeBron James has been married to his wife, entrepreneur Savannah James.
The couple’s relationship has long been viewed as one of the league’s strongest, having stood the test of time through the highs and lows of LeBron’s basketball journey.
However, if he were single, there is one particular type of woman the NBA superstar says he would have no interest in dating.
“I think personally me today, if I was not in a relationship, I could not have a stay-at-home woman,” LeBron candidly stated in resurfaced comments from an appearance on the “Everybody’s Crazy” podcast.
He added, “For me, who I am at 40 and what I got going on, just coming home and seeing somebody sitting on the couch every day just chilling, that wouldn’t float for me.”
Savannah James Reflects LeBron’s Ideal Partner

LeBron’s preference in a partner is reflected in the life and career of his wife, Savannah. Far more than just a supportive presence at games and public events, she has built a successful identity as an entrepreneur, philanthropist, and media personality.
The mother of three is one half of the duo that founded Let It Break, a women’s community focused on personal growth, wellness, and intentional development. She and co-founder April McDaniel also co-host the “Everybody’s Crazy” podcast, which often amplifies women’s experiences.
She has also been heavily involved in philanthropy. Savannah co-founded the LeBron James Family Foundation in 2004 and is the driving force behind the Women of Our Future Mentorship Program, both of which have positively impacted the lives of many Akron residents over the years.
She is also the founder of Reframe Beauty, a skincare brand backed by clinical research and designed to address the needs of diverse skin types.
LeBron James Says He Wants Marriage To Last Forever
Despite the longevity of their marriage, LeBron and Savannah have faced numerous rumors alleging infidelity on the NBA star’s part.
None of those claims has ever been substantiated, however, leading many to view them as little more than speculation.
In the meantime, it is known that the Lakers’ playmaker has publicly said he is keen on making his marriage last forever.
“I know I don’t want to be alone. That’s for damn sure,” said the basketballer during a previous episode of his wife’s podcast. “If I got to fight, crawl, scratch, like whatever to keep mine, I got to keep it. I got to do what I got to do. I don’t want to be alone.”
The NBA Legend Has Ruled Out Remarriage

More recently, the NBA star revealed that he would never remarry if anything happened to his wife.
“I already told Savannah, it ain’t going to happen because we’re doing this forever, same casket and everything,” he said in another episode of the podcast. “I said you ain’t got to worry about nobody taking your spot ever. I’m not getting remarried. I’m not doing that. I can’t invest my time and my spirit and my heart again”
In the event that Savannah is no longer available, LeBron said he would find support from his daughter, Zhuri, one of the three children he shares with the entrepreneur.
“I’m talking to my daughter right now, Zhuri. Just take care of Dad. I can’t do it again,” he added.
LeBron James Weighs His Next NBA Move

Following the end of the NBA season, LeBron is now considering the next step in his career.
According to reports, the player has been in talks with the Los Angeles Lakers over a potential new contract. However, the details of any such agreement have not been made public.
If a new deal is reached, it could extend his career into a record-setting 24th NBA season, further adding to his already historic legacy as a four-time MVP.
Alternatively, LeBron could enter free agency and explore other options. There is reported interest from teams such as the Golden State Warriors, although nothing has been officially confirmed.
