Cardi B just gave New York Knicks fans a reaction so relatable that social media is already calling it the internet’s newest meme. The rapper completely lost it Saturday night as the Knicks locked up a massive Game 5 victory, documenting every emotional twist and turn from home before taking the celebration straight to the streets of New York.

Cardi shared the rollercoaster moment with fans on social media, jokingly asking not to be judged for where she was watching the game as she filmed herself from what she said was her basement.

Completely locked into the action, the Bronx native made it clear she was emotionally invested as the Knicks battled for the win. But the real moment came the second the final buzzer sounded. Once New York officially secured the victory, Cardi exploded into celebration, screaming, yelling, and running laps around her house while repeatedly shouting, “Oh my God!” and “We won!”

Still buzzing from the huge win, Cardi declared: “We outside right now!”

She then explained that she needed to get glam immediately because “the streets are calling me,” making it very clear there was no chance she planned to stay home after a Knicks win like that.

And true to her word, Cardi didn’t stay home for long. After the game, the rapper was spotted out celebrating in New York City alongside Travis Scott at a nightclub, seemingly keeping the post-win energy alive well into the night.

Knicks Win Turns Into ‘New Meme Unlocked’

It didn’t take long for Cardi’s over-the-top reaction to go viral, with fans on X quickly declaring the moment an instant meme. “Lmaooooo new meme unlocked!!!” one person wrote. Another fan praised Cardi’s unfiltered excitement, posting: “lit yessss cardi clocked it!!”

“Babegirl is a character you heard,” another user joked. “This is such a perfect meme,” someone else added.

For plenty of Knicks fans, Cardi’s meltdown felt painfully relatable, as many likely had a similar reaction watching New York pull off the major win. However, while some celebrations stayed fun and meme-worthy, officials say other post-game reactions spiraled into chaos, with NYPD reporting that five school buses were set on fire or destroyed with bats and people jumping on them.

Authorities also reported violence during the celebrations, including a shooting near 43rd Street and Broadway, where a 17-year-old boy was struck in the foot.

According to officials, the teen was transported to a hospital by NYPD officers after an ambulance was unable to access the area due to overwhelming crowds that had taken over the street. Police said a firearm was recovered at the scene, and three people of interest were taken into custody. No charges have been announced at this time.

In addition to the shooting, officials reported four separate slashing or stabbing incidents overnight. In total, the NYPD said 63 people were arrested.

Knicks Victory Comes Days After Cardi B Blamed Trump For Bringing ‘Dark Energy’

The celebratory moment also comes just days after Cardi went viral for a very different Knicks-related reaction. Earlier this week, the rapper blamed President Donald Trump for New York’s Game 3 loss after he attended the matchup at Madison Square Garden.

During an Instagram Live, Cardi jokingly suggested Trump’s presence may have shifted the vibe inside the arena. “It probably was,” she said when asked whether the president’s attendance brought bad luck to the team.

“But it is what it is. You can’t stop the president from f-cking going to a game. But it did feel a little dark in there,” Cardi added.

The rapper went on to compare the atmosphere to being watched by school administrators. “You know how it felt like in there? It felt like the principal was there, and everybody had to be on their best behavior and sh-t like that. But, nevertheless,” she said.

Trump was reportedly met with boos after appearing on the Jumbotron during the national anthem before the game, which quickly made Cardi’s comments spread across social media.

After Saturday night’s Knicks victory, however, Cardi clearly had a lot more to celebrate.
