Taylor Swift has the full support of her future in-laws!
The singer recently broke records with a historic achievement as the youngest woman to ever be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
Taylor Swift’s future mother-in-law, Donna Kelce, was there to witness her receive the honor with a tearful speech.
Taylor Swift Was Surrounded By Love On Her Big Night
Taylor was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame on Thursday, June 11, at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City. She had the full support of her loved ones, including her mom, Andrea Swift, Donna, and her soon-to-be husband, Travis Kelce.
The group was seen sitting together at a table, where they reportedly enjoyed dinner, danced, and celebrated as inductees were honored. Donna even matched Taylor’s color for the night by rocking a chic black outfit.
On the other hand, the singer stunned in a long black gown. The strapless outfit featured flower details and a form-fitting design, which flaunted Taylor’s toned figure. PEOPLE reported that her brother, Austin Swift, was also in attendance.
Travis Kelce Rushes Down After Minicamp To Support His Future Wife

It appears that Donna certainly did a good job raising her son, as Travis raised the bar higher for men by showing up for his future wife. The athlete had been participating in a Kansas City Chiefs minicamp in Kansas City, Missouri, but he did not let that stop him from supporting Taylor.
Page Six reported that Travis jetted from Missouri to New York City and made it just in time to watch Taylor’s induction into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. The lovebirds were also seen dancing to Beyoncé’s “Single Ladies” and Rihanna’s “Umbrella.”
Travis did not appear jetlagged, even jumping up from his seat with Taylor to dance along to a “Proud Mary” performance. According to the outlet, Travis rushed down to support Taylor’s big night after completing a mandatory three-day minicamp with his teammates on the morning of June 11.
The Grammy Winner Gave A Tearful Acceptance Speech
Taylor accepted her induction into the Songwriters Hall of Fame with an emotional speech. The Blast covered the story, reporting that the singer could not help but break down as she received the honor, speaking for more than ten minutes.
The entertainer reflected on her illustrious career, including her journey as a songwriter, getting emotional as she appreciated her family for their unrelenting support. Taylor noted that choosing songwriting was nothing compared to her parents’ decision to relocate for her dreams.
According to Taylor, her parents, Andrea and Scott Swift, moved their family from Pennsylvania to Nashville to help Taylor hone her songwriting skills. The “Opalite” hitmaker took a moment to regain her composure, fighting back tears as she thanked her family for their love and support.
The Singer-Songwriter Reflected On Her Time In The Industry

Besides honoring her parents for their support, Taylor also used the moment to reflect on her decades-long music career. She addressed the challenges she faced on her rise to fame, noting her days were filled with industry battles, trials, and tribulations.
There were moments of tears and cheers, times when Taylor was plagued by doubt, and faced both fair and unfair criticism. “The complete loss of privacy, the world tours, the ego wars, and the twists of fate,” she mused.
Despite the hurdles and heartaches, Taylor noted that the best part of her journey was choosing songwriting. She described it as her greatest passion, stressing that it was “frustrating at times” but also the core of who she is today as an artist.
Inside Taylor Swift And Donna Kelce’s Friendship

Donna’s appearance at Taylor’s Songwriters Hall of Fame induction isn’t surprising, given their friendship. The duo became entangled after Donna’s son, Travis, began dating Taylor in 2023. At the time, they frequently made waves for watching his games together.
During the early days of Travis and Taylor’s romance, Donna protected their privacy and even shut down TODAY’s attempt to learn more about their relationship. Her love for Taylor only grew with time, with Donna declaring herself a Swiftie.
Donna’s support for Taylor continued in November 2023 when she declared the singer’s “Eras Tour” concert film was “amazing.” She and her future daughter-in-law were also seen holding hands at the Super Bowl in February 2024.
Congratulations, Taylor Swift!
