The actress shared an adorable clip of herself and Dr. Thais Aliabadi, where they shared a hug as she lay on her treatment bed waiting to be wheeled into the surgery room.

She noted that while Aliabadi does not perform a double mastectomy, she still took the time to check in on her and show her care on the day of her surgery.

“She cares for the well-being of her patients even when it’s after hours. She is an angel walking among us. I don’t wish cancer on anyone; however, if you do find yourself in my same situation, I hope you find a doctor like her,” the celebrity continued.

She ended the caption, parting ways with her fans by leaving them one of her biggest pieces of advice, which requires meticulousness.

Munn urged anyone battling a health issue and going in for treatment to find a team of doctors who listen to the patient’s needs, fears, and treat them like a person, not just a patient.

The Actress’ Message Gets Endorsement From Her Fans In The Comments

Munn’s post caused a discussion in the comment section about the importance of being professional, yet very caring, regardless of the circumstances. “A beautiful, important message. As a nurse, I see physicians of every stripe, and the ones who care about their patients stand out.”

Another user thanked Munn for being so open about her experience as a cancer survivor, giving hope to them as a cancer survivor, too. The physician also got the tag of being a national treasure alongside her growing client list of the high and mighty in Hollywood.

“Agreed, when I had my double mastectomy, I hugged my beautiful surgeon Dr. Anitha, so many times. Her care and compassion went above and beyond a doctor in my time of need,” this fan stated. They added that their kids had to draw the doctor a thank-you card for all her care.

Another commenter added that sometimes, all a patient needs to feel better is a heartfelt hug, and Dr. Aliabadi seemed to understand that perfectly.

The Blast noted that in an impactful new advertising campaign for Kim Kardashian’s shapewear brand, SKIMS, Munn got to display her scars with pride, sharing the moment with her fellow breast cancer warriors.

In the campaign (which also benefited breast cancer charity Susan G. Komen), Munn presented a series of stunning images using the brand’s newest collection of bra styles.

One image showed her with the scar from her mastectomy, while others showed her in different outfits with minimal styling in order to emphasize the confidence and self-acceptance she had. In retrospect, Munn admitted she had made an effort not to feel insecure about her mastectomy scars during the shoot.

She declared that each mark on her body is a testament to her strength and determination during her diagnosis and treatment journey. Munn also hoped that by sharing her scars openly, other women who may be going through something similar would feel seen, supported, and empowered.

She added that participating in the campaign aligned with that mission, stating that being part of an initiative that contributes to research and supports people affected by breast cancer made the project meaningful.

The partnership involved a 10% retail donation from SKIMS on purchases of eligible bras during the designated period in stores and online.
