The Atlanta Dream keep on rolling. Last night, Reese put up 12 points, 13 rebounds, five assists, and a steal to help lead the Dream to a 91-75 win over the Sun.
The Dream’s win was a big moment for ATL fans, considering it came in the middle of the Commissioner’s Cup.

Another reason the fans were so hype about her shot is that it shifted the momentum, helping get the Dream back in the game and eventually securing their win.

Atlanta Dream’s head coach, Karl Smesko, also called Reese’s made bucket a “momentum changer” during his post-conference interview.
Speaking with Meghan Hall, Smesko said, “I thought crowd loved it, team loved it, I loved it. So I do think it was a big shot. I’ll have to watch it and break it down on film, but it looked like a really good release, like the release we’ve been working on.”
He went on to say that Reese has been “really open to kind of changing her shot” in practice. He added that she continues to work on them in the gym and is confident that the results will show in due time.
“Hopefully going forward, as she gets more comfortable with the new shot, she’ll feel more comfortable with it, and it’ll show up in games more,” he said.

Reese’s performance has gotten the people riled up. On social media, many praised Reese’s ability and the LSU product for what she’s done to help her team win.

Reese Was Traded To Atlanta Following A Sad Two Years In Chicago
Reese’s third year in the league is off to a much different start than her first two seasons with Chicago.
According to a previous report from The Blast, the Chicago Sky traded Reese to the Dream on April 6, 2026, stating that it was in everyone’s best interests.
“Angel has achieved many record-breaking milestones in her first two years in the WNBA and has been a competitive force for the Sky. We are thankful for her many important contributions to this league and this game, and we know she will continue to have a big impact on the court and beyond,” said Sky general manager Jeff Pagliocca. “We wish Angel all the best in her next chapter.”
Don’t forget, toward the end of Reese’s second year in the Windy City, she made headlines after telling the media that she’d consider moving in a different direction if the Sky didn’t pick up better players.
“… I’d like to be here for my career, but if things don’t pan out, obviously I might have to move in a different direction and do what’s best for me. But while I am here, I’m going to try to stay open-minded about what I have here and maximize that as much as I can,” she said.
Being Part Of The Dream Feels Familiar To Reese

In another interview, reported by The Blast, Reese said that being traded to Atlanta filled her with a sense of peace.
“Transferring from Maryland and going to LSU and winning a championship, it feels like deja vu right now,” Reese said. “And I get chills right now because being a part of Chicago my first two years and going to Atlanta, I just feel that urge right now that I’m going to win again.”
The Atlanta Dream’s next contest is Thursday, June 4, against the Indiana Fever.
