Happy birthday in advance to the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle! It's the big 40, and according to reports, preparation plans have already begun.

It seems like yesterday when Markle walked down the aisle in her beautiful dress to meet the love of her life, Prince Harry, the son of late Princess Diana. Despite how some British tabloids portrayed her, the Duchess kept her head high, and rose above the criticisms.

Today, she is preparing for her big 40 in a grand style with her lover by her side, two beautiful kids, and support from millions of fans all over the world. It has been a long time coming for Markle, but she has remained an inspiration for members of the black community worldwide, who, through her and many others like her, know that they can achieve anything their hearts are set to do.

Speaking of her birthday plans, some sources disclosed slight details about the preparations, and how the celebration will go down on August 4, 2021.

Markle will only get to celebrate her big 40 once, so why not go big?

A source revealed to MailOnline that the Duchess has requested the services of the popular celebrity party planner, Colin Cowie. Also, the celebration will reportedly take place in Markle and Prince Harry's California home.

Cowie is a well-known event and wedding planner. He is known for his breath-taking venue designs and well-detailed decorations that always take his client's breath away. Aside from weddings, Cowie also plans to cooperate and private events, depending on his clientele's taste.

His consultation service runs from New York City to North America and Europe. From what the unknown insider revealed, if Cowie is indeed handling Markle's birthday party plans, then fans are in for the show of the lives. Again, that's assuming the former royal wants her birthday celebration in the media.

More details from the insider revealed that despite Cowie's impeccable planning skills, Markle only went with him after a recommendation from a dear old friend, Oprah Winfrey.

The US television host has hosted many events in the last decade, and if she indeed recommended this event planner to Markle, then there must be something incredible about him. Coupled with the fact that he snagged number one on the Ultimate Wedding Planner Master List in 2018, it's safe to say that Markle's party is in great hands.

Other A-Listers who have used Cowie's services in the past include; Ryan Seacrest, Alyssa Milano, and Rehan Choudry. Per the event planner's website, these famous people shared positive reviews regarding his work. Winfrey also had a positive remark for Cowie saying: "He's the man to call if you want to have a good time. No question about it."

Per MailOnline, Markle will not have an extravagant birthday party, rather, her guest list is reportedly limited to 65 people.

Furthermore, instead of a formal setting, the Duchess has decided to go with a 'grazing table' format that will feature varieties of food and wine for the beautiful and handsome guests to pick from. Although the guest list has not been released yet, fans believe that it will include close friends and family members.

This event will not only be an avenue to celebrate the Duchesses birthday bash but also congratulate her again on the birth of her daughter, Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor. Markle and Prince Harry welcomed their second child on June 4, 2021, and fans were elated for them.

There was also a widespread ruckus when the couple revealed that their child was named after Queen Elizabeth II and the late Princess Diana.

According to the insider, Prince Harry has been tasked with acquiring a beautiful birthday cake for his wife from a Santa Barbara bakery named Posies & Sugar. This cake island is known for its signature naked cakes, and other mouth-watering pastries.

The layers of the cakes are usually visible, as they're often loosely plastered with icing, and decorated with beautiful flowers. Although Poises & Sugar cakes come in different sizes, shapes, layers, and flavors, a three-tiered round cake is said to cost about $225 and can have as much as 30 servings.

The guest list for Markle's birthday bash will undoubtedly include her mother, Doria Ragland, and a close family friend, Oprah Winfrey.
