Months after ending his engagement to Nina Dobrev, Shaun White appears to be moving forward.

The Olympic snowboarder was recently spotted in New York City with model Angela Garten, sparking speculation that he has re-entered the dating scene.

The outing comes less than a year after Shaun White and Nina Dobrev called off their engagement, marking the end of a five-year relationship.

White has reportedly started dating again following the end of his engagement to actress Nina Dobrev, and was recently seen enjoying a night out in New York City with model Angela Garten.

According to Us Weekly, White and Garten were photographed dining together at a popular Lower East Side restaurant, fueling speculation that White is “getting back in the dating scene after a very public end to his engagement.”

For the outing, the three-time Olympic gold medalist, 39,  kept things casual in a white tank top and dark trousers, while Garten opted for a relaxed look featuring an oversized button-down shirt and jeans.

The sighting comes less than a year after White and Dobrev ended their relationship. The former couple, who were together for more than five years and became engaged in late 2024, called off their wedding plans in September 2025.

“Nina is devastated,” a source told Us Weekly at the time about the pair’s split. “They had finally started planning the wedding, and things were in motion.”

Insiders also shared that despite cheating rumors, there was no betrayal or infidelity involved in the split.

The decision to separate reportedly stemmed from the realization that they had grown apart and knew “they would be better off just as friends and not husband and wife.”

Since ending their engagement, both White and Dobrev have largely focused on life after the breakup.

Dobrev has spent much of her time traveling with close friends and documenting her adventures online, while White has stayed busy with appearances at major sporting events and international engagement, making appearances at major events, including the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy.

The snowboard legend also found himself at the center of dating rumors in late 2025 when he was photographed near model Brooks Nader outside a New York fashion event. The images quickly sparked speculation about a possible romance, but Nader was quick to shut down the rumors.

According to the model, the interaction was nothing more than a brief greeting. She later explained that she never even got out of her vehicle, dismissing suggestions that there was anything romantic between them.

“He was just saying, ‘Hi,’” she said at the time. “I was still in my car. I didn’t even get out.”

According to TMZ, the “Vampire Diaries” star admitted she was still processing the emotional fallout of her breakup with White and was focused on moving forward rather than pursuing a new relationship.

Despite the public scrutiny, she said she was doing her best to stay positive and move forward one step at a time.

Over the years, they became one of Hollywood’s most beloved couples. In 2021, White recalled going to great lengths to recreate their first date for their anniversary despite pandemic restrictions.

“I wanted to recreate our first date, but everything was closed,” he shared at the time. “I managed to sweet-talk the owner of the place to open up for us. It was actually pretty fun to have a place all to ourselves.”

After several years together, White proposed in October 2024, marking a major milestone in their relationship.
