New allegations surrounding ex-Prince Andrew are putting Buckingham Palace back under the microscope. A Jeffrey Epstein victim is now claiming the royal household had prior knowledge of concerns surrounding the disgraced royal years before his recent legal troubles intensified, accusing palace officials of failing to act despite allegedly receiving information tied to his conduct.

The latest bombshell comes as ex-Prince Andrew, also known as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, remains under scrutiny amid an ongoing investigation into allegations tied to his relationship with late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

According to a recent BBC report, Buckingham Palace’s Lord Chamberlain, the most senior officer in the royal household, allegedly received 30,000 emails in 2020 containing information connected to ex-Prince Andrew. Some of those emails reportedly included allegations that Andrew shared confidential information with Epstein while serving as the United Kingdom’s trade envoy between 2001 and 2011.

The report claimed the emails were obtained from a personal business contact of Andrew’s. Still, Buckingham Palace has remained tight-lipped on the matter. “Since there is an ongoing police inquiry concerning Mr Mountbatten-Windsor, it is not possible to provide any comment on these matters,” Buckingham Palace told the BBC over the weekend.

Former dancer Jess Michaels, who has alleged she was sexually assaulted by Epstein, did not hold back while reacting to the allegations involving Buckingham Palace. Speaking to The Telegraph, Michaels accused palace officials of failing to act despite allegedly knowing ex-Prince Andrew could face legal consequences.

“Six years ago, the palace knew Andrew wasn’t just a problem: he could face a criminal investigation. And they sat on it,” she alleged. “Virginia Giuffre was telling the truth, and she didn’t live to see them admit it. That breaks my heart, and it should break everyone’s.”

Ex-Prince Andrew was previously accused of sexually assaulting the late Virginia Giuffre when she was underage. The pair reached an out-of-court settlement in 2022 after Giuffre sued Andrew for sexual abuse. Andrew has continued to deny the allegations.

Giuffre died by suicide in April 2025. “This is what institutions do,” Michaels added. “They protect powerful men and leave the people they harmed to carry it.”

The allegations come months after Andrew was arrested at his Sandringham estate in Norfolk, England, in February. At the time, Thames Valley Police confirmed he had been taken into custody on “suspicion of misconduct in public office.”

King Charles III later addressed the situation in a statement obtained by Us Weekly. “I have learned with the deepest concern the news about Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and suspicion of misconduct in public office,” the monarch said.

“What now follows is the full, fair and proper process by which this issue is investigated in the appropriate manner and by the appropriate authorities,” he added. “In this, as I have said before, they have our full and wholehearted support and cooperation.”

Prior to Andrew’s arrest, police had already confirmed they were investigating allegations that he shared information with Epstein during his time serving as a trade envoy. Last month, authorities revealed that the investigation had expanded to include allegations of sexual misconduct.

“In addition to the investigation into misconduct in public office, the assessment of reports that a woman was taken to an address in Windsor in 2010 for sexual purposes is ongoing,” police said in a statement released on May 22. Authorities confirmed they had “engaged with the woman’s legal representative” and emphasized that any potential report would be treated with care.

“Should she wish to report this to police, it will be taken seriously and handled with care, sensitivity and respect for her privacy and her right for anonymity,” authorities added. “We recognize how difficult it can be to speak about experiences of this nature, and any contact with police will be led by her wishes, when and if she feels ready and able to do so.”

According to authorities, Thames Valley Police is now working alongside the United Kingdom’s Crown Prosecution Service and the US Department of Justice as investigators continue examining allegations raised in the Epstein Files.

Officials say detectives are carefully reviewing a growing amount of information tied to the case. “Our team of very experienced detectives are working meticulously through a significant amount of information that has come in from the public and other sources,” Thames Valley Police Assistant Chief Constable Oliver Wright said.

Wright added, “We are committed to conducting a thorough investigation into all reasonable lines of inquiry, wherever they may lead.”
