Hugh Jackman‘s girlfriend, Sutton Foster, has reportedly reached a breaking point following the backlash that has trailed her romance with the actor.

Foster, who made an appearance with Jackman at the 2026 Met Gala, also recently opened up about feeling lonely as a leading lady in Hollywood.

It comes after reports emerged suggesting Hugh Jackman’s ex-wife Deborra-Lee Furness has requested to meet with him and Sutton Foster to get “closure.”

According to a new report, Sutton Foster has been left shaken over the public scrutiny that has trailed her love story with the “Wolverine” actor.

The pair went public with their romance in January last year, 2 years after he and ex-wife Deborra-Lee Furness announced they were calling it quits on their marriage of nearly 3 decades.

However, the timeline of their relationship has remained a topic of debate after starring together on “The Music Man” from 2022 to 2023, with insiders calling their undeniable chemistry on set Hollywood’s worst-kept secret.

Both stars subsequently filed for divorce from their longtime partners within a short window after that, Jackman from Furness, and Foster from her husband of 10 years, Ted Griffin. At the time, Insiders alleged there was a significant “overlap” before their respective separations.

Now, Foster is said to be reeling from the name-calling and trolling that she continues to face online, with critics even branding her a “homewrecker.”

“She struggles with being branded a ‘homewrecker,’ so does Hugh, but this is a whole new world for Sutton,” an insider told Women’s Day Magazine (via Sky News Australia), adding that the online trolls are “getting the better” of the Broadway star.

There’s no doubt that the new couple is so in love, having been spotted packing on the PDA several times.

They walked hand-in-hand when they attended the Met Gala in May, with reports also suggesting Jackman has been hanging out with Foster within the same circles he used to with Furness.

However, the insider further dished to Women’s Day that Sutton was “totally naive” about the attention that comes with being with the “X-Men” actor, adding that she has never been this “hated” before now.

“She worries she could be stuck with this reputation forever, regardless of whether or not she becomes Mrs. Jackman,” they added.

Amid the feelings that come with having butterflies in her stomach, Foster recently admitted that she struggles with “loneliness.”

The Tony Award winner made the remark when she joined a Women’s Health Lab panel called “The Science of Staying Strong: Longevity, Movement & Resilience,” to discuss the way she kicks stress out of her life and remains in her best shape mentally.

“I’ve been a leading lady for a long time… but often I feel really alone,” she said, per Women’s Health. “I reached out to a lot of my contemporaries last year, and a lot of the women on Broadway, and we all are usually on our own. Everyone shared the commonality of loneliness.”

“Women of power can actually support each other, and we don’t have to be pitted against each other,” she continued. “There’s room for more than just one of us.”

It remains to be seen if the trolls will reduce a bit after Jackman and Foster honor Furness’s alleged request to meet up.

The Australian actress has been open about how the post-divorce chapter has been tough on her, with sources revealing she requested to meet the new lovebirds in hopes it would help both parties move on for good.

According to New Idea, Furness finds it “incredibly painful and humiliating” that both of them have been parading themselves around town, and Jackman has been taking her to places that used to be their spot, particularly when he took her to the Met Gala.

“For the longest time, Deb swore off the idea of even being in the same room as Sutton,” the source said, per The Blast. “Watching Hugh and Sutton parade around the city, openly flaunting their romance and mingling with all the same people they used to socialize with as a couple, is incredibly painful and humiliating.”

“But at this point it feels like something she needs to check off her list, if only to put an end to the awkwardness… also so she can speak her truth,” they continued.

The source further explained that Furness isn’t looking to cause any trouble and open old wounds, but that the meet-up is needed for her to finally close this chapter on her relationship with Jackman.

“This isn’t about Deb being angry or wanting to read Sutton the riot act. It’s about closure,” they added.

However, Jackman and Furness still have other issues binding them together for a while, like their struggle to sell their marital home in New York.

Previous reports claim this has also caused a strain in Furness and Jackman’s post-divorce relationship.
