During a chat with People Magazine at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) in Los Angeles, Reeves, 61, happily declared “yes” after being asked if his 53-year-old partner, Grant, was “an easy woman to love.”
The couple, who were attending the 2026 MOCA Gala, gave candid remarks about their relationship and how it has influenced each other’s form of art.
For Reeves, he shared that he doesn’t “know if it has,” however, Grant had a much bolder response to what she branded a “big question.”
She said, “I would say that all painting is autobiographical, even though maybe even in abstraction it doesn’t look like there’s a big narrative, but I would definitely say that my paintings become happier.”
“It’s undeniable,” she noted regarding the positive influence loving Reeves has on her career. “I have to admit that.”

Grant and Reeves are known to be huge supporters of the Museum of Contemporary Art, and have regularly attended the galas as a couple since they started dating.
The duo who co-founded the publishing house, X Artists’ Books (XAB), went public with their relationship in 2019, with reports claiming that had been privately dating years prior.
At the recent MOCA Gala, they told People how important the event is to them due to their love of art and desire to support creatives.
“We are here to support MOCA because we love this museum, and in 2007 [former senior curator at MOMA] Alma Ruiz gave me my first solo show here at MOCA, so I have a long history of coming to the museum and supporting them,” Grant said about her and Reeves, noting, “we want the museum to have a rich and really culturally significant future.”
The visual artist then added that she and Reeves are big supporters of “everyone who’s doing everything to make it remain such an important museum in Los Angeles and the world.”
Reeves, for his part, talked about the social aspect of the event, how it allows a lot of like-minded artists to come together to celebrate art and support other creatives.

While speaking with People at the launch of her LOVEwine brand in Los Angeles, Grant revealed how she and Reeves are able to manage working together as two very creative and artistic people.
“He’s always so appreciative, so he’s always cautious, I think, with feedback, and I would say the same,” Grant said about Reeves and how he interacts with her workspace.
“You want to always be respectful and leave the other person to bake their cake,” she added. “Just talking about my love makes me sweat.”
“I would say that there is all the listening in the world that we know that we could talk about any problem or challenge or creative idea and talk about it forever if that is needed,” Grant continued, “and also respect the individual need to dive deep and have a process that’s maybe quiet or in another collaboration.”
She then simply stated that the key to navigating work-related issues in their relationship is to have “mutual respect” for each other and their art, noting that they both share a “belief in projects.”

Back in 2025, Reeves and Grant were hit with wild rumors that they had secretly gotten married. However, the actor wasted no time shutting down the claims.
“Well, that wasn’t the first time,” he said to E! News jokingly about the wedding rumors. “We’ve been going out for a long time.”
But unlike Reeves, Grant slammed the rumors as “fake” by sharing a real photo of her and Reeves kissing on Instagram.
“This is a real photo,” she said. “Not an engagement photo or an AI wedding announcement… simply a kiss! (Albeit maybe the moment right before or after it… given the slightly goofy expressions on our faces!).”
“I’m sharing it here to say thank you to everyone for the congratulations on our wedding. Except we didn’t get married,” Grant added at the time. “Good news is much needed these days, but it’s still fake news, so be careful out there! So, here’s a bit of real happiness!”
Keanu Reeves Recently Faced Backlash Over His Letter Pleading For Leniency For A Pal

Reeves and Grant’s MOCA outing comes after the actor received some heat online for asking a judge for leniency for his pal, who was convicted for embezzling funds that were meant to be used for a project called “White Horse.”
In a letter of support, Reeves praised the fraudster as an “exceptional artist” whom he has known for 15 years.
“In my opinion, Carl can self-sabotage by amplifying the scale, scope, and landscape of what had been negotiated, accordingly placing himself and his counterparties at odds,” Reeves stated. “I do not intend to share this as an excuse or diminishment of what he has been found to have done, but offer this solely as perhaps an insight into why.”
His actions have since drawn mixed reactions online, with some blasting him for the move and others praising the actor for supporting his embattled friend.
