Love Island” alum Leah Kateb is spilling the beans about how she remained grounded in the villa during season 6 of Peacock’s hit reality series. “Love Island” season 8 premieres on Peacock on June 2 at 9 PM EST and will kick off with a cast of 12 hot singles looking for love while also competing for $100,000.

Host Ariana Madix will return for her third season, and based on the show’s promotional materials, the new batch of episodes will be bigger and better than before.

With a new group of islanders set to enter the villa in just days, Kateb told The Blast what she believes every incoming cast member should know.

“Just have fun,” she said. “Be yourself, and don’t take things too seriously. Just enjoy your time.”

While “Love Island” is built around finding a lasting connection, the pressure of villa life can sometimes push islanders to their limits.

Elsewhere in our conversation with Kateb, the 26-year-old spilled the tea about how she stayed grounded during the social experiment.

“I feel like, one, I would remind myself that this is literally a TV show,” she told The Blast. “Like, what am I making myself so worried about?”

Kateb added, “And then, two, I had some socks with my dog’s face on them, and I would just go look at them, because my dog is like my safe space.”

Life has only gotten busier for Kateb since leaving the “Love Island” villa. In addition to serving as Chief Creative Officer and “Refounder” of the clean fragrance brand Skylar, she’s also settling into a new home with her boyfriend, Miguel Harichi.

Luckily for Kateb, she’s partnered with Clorox Scentiva to help promote the company’s new Cherry Blossom and Peach scents. Infused with bright, fruity notes and delicate florals, the company’s new collection transforms every step of your cleaning routine with the trusted Clorox cleaning power consumers rely on.

So, how did Kateb end up working with the trusted household brand? “Clorox had reached out to me like the first week that I got back home, and they were like, ‘Can we please send you a PR package?’ And honestly, I feel like that’s where our relationship grew,” she revealed.

“I think it also just worked really naturally because I feel like I’m such a clean freak, and I also have a lot of animals, and I feel like we always have people at the house. So just making sure the house stays clean and smells good is very important to me, so it worked very naturally. And Clorox is obviously a brand that I feel like a like pretty much everyone has in their house, so it worked very, very well,” she added.

Regarding her fragrance company, Skylar, Kateb told The Blast that exciting new products will soon be available for purchase, specifically the new Double Dates Tanning Oil.

“I’m such a tanning girl,” Kateb shared. “I love to tan, but I also love to keep my skin protected because I’m also a skincare girl.”

Set to launch on Skylar’s site later this summer, the new Double Dates Tanning Oil will feature an advanced formulation, including SPF, according to the influencer.

“A lot of it takes time, but it’s very worth it,” Kateb said about the product. “So I’m very, very, very excited for the Double Dates Tanning Oil.”

Chaos In The Villa!

According to a previous report from The Blast, a “Love Island” cast member was dropped from the show before the season 8 premiere.

Vasana Montgomery, 25, from Oregon, was set to be one of the original islanders; however, production removed her from the villa after videos of her using a racial slur were shared online.

It’s unclear whether she’ll be replaced by an alternate, but Peacock takes issues of this nature seriously. Last season, two contestants, Yulissa Escobar and Cierra Ortega, were removed from the series after clips of them using problematic language surfaced online.
