The actress affirmed to US Weekly in an exclusive interview on Wednesday, May 27, that she deliberately chose to take a different approach in her new marriage despite hosting a podcast where personal topics take center stage. 

Kramer explained during the promo interview for her “Where the Heart Lands” Lifetime movie that she and Russell intend to keep things that way for the long term when it comes to the marriage.

While they occasionally share some light-hearted info with their listeners, she confirmed that they chose not to cross some firmly established boundaries.

Kramer stressed that she is fully aware of how casual comments can be turned into clickbait and bring attention she does not crave. Comparing her current marriage to her previous one to an NFL alum Mike Caussin, the actress, shared that their life behind the scenes always found its way to the limelight.

She continued that they operate a healthy dynamic just like that of normal couples, which is all the more reason why she does not feel a need to turn those private moments into consumables.

The actress admitted there was one aspect she found troubling, which is that someone was allegedly using Russell’s photos to create a fake Bumble profile, potentially misleading other users.

She, however, confessed that her reaction to the information is very different from how she may have handled similar situations in the past.

Kramer stated that she has a much more positive and secure perspective on her marriage after the highly publicized breakdown with her former husband, Caussin, that occurred in 2021 due to accusations of infidelity.

When asked about his ability to watch another man get physically intimate with his wife for a role, as is frequently seen on “Yellowstone,” Russell admitted he would find it “very hard.”

As shared by The Blast, the retired athlete explained that, as someone outside the entertainment industry, separating acting from real-life relationships can be challenging. He claimed situations with love scenes add extra pressure to a marriage, especially for partners who are not used to Hollywood standards.

To drive home the point, Russell asked Kramer to think about what she would feel if he were the actor in the romantic scenes with another actress. Kramer echoed a sentiment shared by many movie directors, saying that audiences do not always perceive scenes like that as romantic, and are not often filmed romantically. 

She clarified that intimate scenes are generally recorded on closed sets with just the key crew members and are not as glamorous as they look on screen.

Although Russell received a lot of attention for his comments on the internet, Kramer later defended her husband and said that her husband’s comments were made with respect for her and in no way with insecurity.
