Tiger Woods has reportedly returned to rehab to continue treatment after his recent car crash and DUI arrest.

According to a new report, the famous golfer only left the facility to be able to support his girlfriend, Vanessa Trump, after she announced her breast cancer diagnosis.

Meanwhile, Tiger Woods is still focused on his recovery, as he hopes to make a golfing return, maybe in time for the U.S. Open in June.

People Magazine reports that Woods is back in rehab after initially leaving a treatment facility to see his girlfriend, Vanessa, amid her cancer battle.

“Tiger should be in a planned program for awhile more. He is doing fine and on the road to a healthier future,” a source told the publication.

The golf champion raised eyebrows when he was photographed exiting his private jet at Palm Beach International Airport on May 13 after flying in from Zurich, Switzerland, with some individuals speculating that he was through with his treatment.

However, insiders note that Woods only took a brief pause in order to be able to support Vanessa through her cancer announcement and also show support for her daughter, Kai, on her high school graduation day.

“Tiger flew back to take care of some things and offer support to his girlfriend Vanessa’s health issues, as well as to be here for her golfer daughter Kai’s high school graduation,” the source noted.

The insider branded the pair “a solid couple who have been there for the other” since the start of their romance.

“They love each other, and offering help when needed is an important part of their relationship,” the source added, noting that “It has made them both stronger, although Vanessa is a strong woman to begin with.”

“He wants to feel better and play golf,” they continued. “He wants to live a good life and be with those he loves. This is what he has to do to get to that point.”

Sources previously told the news outlet that Woods felt ashamed and “embarrassed” over the DUI arrest, noting that he doesn’t do well with public embarrassment.

“Tiger can be defensive at times, but he was embarrassed and ashamed at the latest accident. He wants to fix his problems,” an insider said shortly after his arrest.

“There is nobody more interested in seeing Tiger come out a winner again than Tiger,” the insider added. “He doesn’t do well with defeat and embarrassing public situations.”

Vanessa made the shocking breast cancer revelation about her health on Instagram, admitting that she already had a medical procedure performed on her due to the diagnosis.

The former daughter-in-law of President Donald Trump stressed that she has been working closely with doctors for a “treatment plan” and while “surrounded” by her friends and family.

“I’ve recently been diagnosed with breast cancer. While this isn’t news anyone expects, I’m working closely with my medical team on a treatment plan,” Vanessa stated.

She added, “I am staying focused and hopeful while surrounded by the love and support of my family, my kids, and those closest to me.”

Regarding Woods’ decision to leave rehab in the middle of his treatment, another insider told People that the golfer felt he had to be with Vanessa during the difficult moment of her cancer diagnosis.

They noted that the couple has become very close and shares everything about their lives, hence why Woods flew back to the U.S. the minute he could to support Vanessa.

“He and Vanessa are close and share their lives. He needed to be with her, and he was,” the source said, adding that “they do what they can for the other in light of both of them having heavy schedules of responsibility.”

Meanwhile, rumors are rife on the possibility of Woods being done with rehab and his recovery in time for the U.S. Open in June.

U.S. Open CEO Mike Whan addressed the rumors, telling Sports Illustrated that it would be “wonderful for the event, and if he was ready, it would be wonderful for him.”

However, he was doubtful of such a thing happening, noting, “I’m sure he has a lot of years to play in USGA championships. I don’t think he’s going to play in any 2026 USGA championship.”
