Brad Paisley and his wife, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, tied the knot in March 2003 at the Stauffer Chapel at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California, after nine months of engagement.

Kimberly revealed that the secret to her enduring marriage is none other than Jamie Lee Curtis’ advice, which says, “Don’t Leave.” She noted that the brilliant advice opened her eyes to understanding how ups and downs in a marriage should not be seen as the death of that partnership.

After 23 years of marriage, Kimberly shared that she and husband Brad Paisley still make their relationship a priority despite their packed schedules. The movie star revealed that both of their careers keep them busy, so they do what they can to spend quality time with each other.

Kimberly then spilled the tea about the romantic surprise that Brad gave her for their 23rd wedding anniversary in March: a heartfelt letter. According to PEOPLE, the songwriter noted that the gesture was even more special because the country singer had not written her a romantic letter in a long time.

Kimberly reminisced about her unforgettable surprise wedding years ago with Brad during an appearance on “Live with Kelly and Mark” on April 15, 2026. 

She stated that guests at the event thought it was the couple’s rehearsal dinner until the bride and groom let them know it was actually the wedding.

Kimberly revealed that she walked down the aisle in a denim coat and then presented the ribbon bouquet, followed by the actual wedding gown underneath.

The actress also joked that some of the customs were not followed at the wedding, as attendees stayed sitting while she walked down the aisle to a groom who was just there chewing gum. 

How Brad Paisley And Kimberly Williams-Paisley First Met 

The lovebirds first met when Kimberly was cast in Brad’s music video for “I’m Gonna Miss Her.” Despite coming from different backgrounds as a city girl and a country boy, the duo clicked instantly and have stayed married for decades.

As stated by Popculture, Brad revealed that casting his wife in the project felt very natural, although he was not aware of her relationship status at the time.

They got together a few years after their first meeting, and the singer popped the question at the end of Venice Beach pier in California.

Four years after they tied the knot, Brad and Kimberly welcomed their first child in 2007, while their son, Jasper Warren, came in 2009.

In 2015, the couple decided to renew their vows in front of their friends and loved ones, in a “very casual and very crampy and silly,” yet perfect ceremony.

The Couple Reaped The Positive Rewards Of The Pandemic On Their Marriage

Like many couples, Brad and Kimberly revealed to PEOPLE that they also found themselves spending more time together than ever during the pandemic, a phase that ultimately brought them together.

With touring and filming shut down worldwide, Brad went from performing around 75 shows a year to playing just three socially distanced drive-in concerts, while Kimberly also paused work on several acting projects.

This development led the couple to fill their shocking downtime with family activities, like playing ping-pong, dodgeball games, and working on their Nashville nonprofit, The Store, to help alleviate food shortages.

Kimberly also picked up bread baking during quarantine, while Brad even stepped in to help color her hair at one point. Despite the challenges, the pair still carved out date nights whenever their sons stayed with Brad’s parents nearby.

The singer admitted that spending so much uninterrupted time together changed his perspective on their relationship. According to him, he figured out that he really enjoyed being around his wife.

The country musician hopped back on the road in 2025 for the “Truck Still Works World Tour,” entertaining fans across the globe with electrifying music from his catalog.

The Blast reported that the tour featured a blend of the singer’s greatest hit songs, emotional ballads, and humor, which is a signature of his live performances.

The talented guitarist equally seized the opportunity of his tour to create opportunities for the next generation of country artists. Artists like Avery Anna, Mae Estes, and Alexandra Kay joined the train on select tour dates, giving them exposure to his massive fanbase.

Brad’s tour was filled with many exciting scenes, including one where he invited several police officers on stage in Bridgeport to the admiration of the fans and staff at the Bridgeport Police Department.
