Sydney Sweeney is once again dominating social media feeds, and this time, it’s thanks to a set of jaw-dropping “Euphoria” images that fans can’t stop talking about. The actress, who stars as Cassie Howard on HBO’s hit drama, recently sent X and Instagram into overdrive after stills from “Euphoria” Season 3 began making the rounds online. The now-viral images show Sweeney in revealing pink lingerie during one of Cassie’s most provocative storylines yet, quickly sparking heated reactions from fans. While many praised the actress’ bombshell look, others questioned whether the show had taken Cassie’s arc too far.

The viral stills, which spread rapidly across fan accounts on X and Instagram, feature Sweeney posing in bright pink lingerie during a neon-lit scene from the latest season.

Fans flooded comment sections with reactions, with some calling the actress “stunning” and praising her confidence onscreen. Others, however, were less impressed and questioned whether the increasingly risqué moments were necessary for the plot.

The buzz surrounding the images only added fuel to an already controversial “Euphoria” season, which has placed Cassie front and center in one of the show’s most talked-about storylines.

Throughout “Euphoria” Season 3, Cassie takes an unexpected turn after launching an adult subscription account to help cover the cost of her wedding to Nate.

The storyline has pushed the character into increasingly over-the-top and surreal situations, many of which have quickly gone viral online. One scene featured Cassie in a baby-inspired outfit, while another bizarre fantasy sequence showed her as a giant woman rampaging through a city.

The pink lingerie images currently circulating online stem from that same storyline, which has seen Cassie embrace increasingly provocative content as part of her new source of income.

Fans Call The Storyline A ‘Humiliation Ritual’

Not everyone has been thrilled with the direction of Cassie’s character. Across social media, some viewers have criticized the storyline as excessive, with several fans referring to it as a “humiliation ritual” for Sweeney and arguing the character has been reduced to shock value.

“This whole season feels like a humiliation ritual for Sydney Sweeney. What the f-ck is this?” one user asked. “Sydney Sweeney Humiliation show,” another said bluntly.

“I’m starting to think Sydney Sweeney is incapable of feeling shame,” someone else chimed in while another wrote, “How was Sydney Sweeney so comfortable filming this? This is literally just p-rn.”

Even Adult Creators Are Criticizing Cassie’s Storyline

The backlash even extended beyond the fandom. Former “Boy Meets World” actress Maitland Ward, who now creates content on an adult subscription platform herself, criticized parts of the storyline, saying certain scenes risk reinforcing stereotypes about adult creators and what they’re willing to do for money.

“There’s all sorts of stuff that you can’t do,” she told TMZ. “The whole child-baby thing is so disgusting … You just can’t go into that whole underage thing like that. I mean, you can do it to an extent if it’s very, very playful, like, you’re an adult being childlike or something. But just the way it was handled was so gross, and it’s just disgusting and vile.”

Despite the controversy, Cassie’s future on the show may already be shifting. In the latest episode, “Stand Still and See,” Cassie is offered a lead role on a soap opera, though there’s one catch: she has to delete her adult content account.

After weighing her options, Cassie ultimately agrees, appearing to close the door on that chapter of her life. Still, with “Euphoria” nearing what could be its final season, fans aren’t convinced the chaos surrounding Cassie Howard is over just yet.
