Matthew Perry‘s mother lets this one big piece off her chest to Kenneth Iwamasa!
The late actor’s assistant is on his way to getting sentenced, but not without an earful for his late boss’s mother about how much he failed in his most important role yet.
Matthew Perry was found lifeless in the bathtub at his Pacific Palisades home in Los Angeles in 2023, with reports revealing that his death was due to the acute effects of ketamine and eventual drowning.
Matthew Perry’s Mother Recalled Seeing Her Son For The Last Time

As Iwamasa prepares for his sentencing, after he was nabbed for injecting Perry with Ketamine on the day of his death, Suzanne Morrison thought to tell him a few things via an emotional letter. Morrison stated that Perry’s name was soothing to her for so many reasons since he was a little boy.
Despite going through so much in his personal life, Morrison insisted that the actor meant the world to her, and all of that was taken away on an unfortunate night when his lifeless body was discovered.
“Helicopters circled overhead, eager for a glimpse of my dead little boy, a picture they could show the whole world while I stood out on the street in the cold and begged for a blanket to cover him. Impossible, of course,” Morrison wrote.
As stated by TMZ, the actor’s mother shared that on her visit to the mortuary to see her son, all dressed and bathed, she realized he spent most of his life fighting addiction and had painfully lost.
Suzanne Morrison Slammed Kenneth Iwamasa For Indulging The Actor’s Addiction

Morrison disclosed in the letter that she initially felt relieved when Iwamasa began working closely with her son because their family had known him for over two decades and trusted him completely.
According to her, Perry believed his assistant’s main responsibility was to support him through his battle with addiction and help him remain sober, which they all thought too.
Morrison added that Iwamasa also operated with the assurance that he could call for help should he get overwhelmed with Perry, and his job would still be intact.
Instead, Iwamasa reportedly enabled the actor’s addiction by repeatedly helping him secure drugs and administering them despite lacking proper qualifications.
She alleged that even after her son’s death, Iwamasa continued staying close to the family by sending her songs, helping her navigate the cemetery, and insisting on speaking at the funeral.
“We trusted someone who had no conscience, and my son ultimately paid the price,” Morrisson declared, adding that the pain of losing Perry is something she believes will never fully go away.
Matthew Perry’s Passing Uncovered A Much More Expansive Drug Network

The late actor’s unfortunate death uncovered a Pandora’s box when federal and local investigators embarked on a deeper mission to trace the origin of the Ketamine trade.
As stated by The Blast, the probe led to the arrests of other individuals involved in the trading ring, including Erik Fleming, Jasveen Sangha, known as the Ketamine queen.
Iwamasa, alongside Dr. Salvador Plasencia and Dr. Mark Chavez, was arrested in August 2024, with all five of them later pleading guilty.
The former US attorney Martin Estrada had slammed the group for prioritizing money over Perry’s well-being.
Estrada added that drug dealers would be held accountable for the deaths they have caused over the years, and the case should send a strong message about where the justice system stands.
As for the rewards for their wrongdoing, Sangha was later sentenced to 15 years in prison, while Dr. Plasencia received 30 months behind bars. Chavez was sentenced to eight months of home detention and three years of supervised release.
The ‘Friends’ Actor’s Stepmother Expressed Her Grief During A Court Hearing

Morrison was not the only woman in Perry’s life who felt the sting of his death; his stepmother, Debbie, also had a day in court, where she let the world into her grief.
The Blast shared that Debbie declared that the far-reaching pain caused by Perry’s passing was too intense to deal with.
According to her, Perry’s pain has caused irreversible and irreparable pain to thousands of families, leaving little to no light in the window, which will not be back any time soon.
She pointed accusing fingers at Sangha, the ketamine queen, for her contribution to keeping the cycle of Perry’s addiction running. Debbie reminded Sangha that it was all her fault for misplacing her money-making talent and using it as a means to hurt people.
The actor’s stepmother encouraged the judge to give her a maximum prison sentence so she would be cut off from the public and prevented from hurting any more families.
Matthew Perry’s Stepfather Slammed Dr. Salvador Plasencia For Ignoring His Responsibility

Last year, Morrison and the actor’s stepfather, Keith Morrison, revealed their heartbreak while calling that Salvador bore the biggest brunt for contributing to Perry’s overdose.
They blamed Salvador for failing to become the portal for Perry to clean up his act and get another shot at life while he battled his addiction.
Morrison and Keith reiterated that Salvador helped ensure that the actor never got that opportunity towards self-redemption.
Referring to evidence extracted from Salvador’s mobile phone, the Morrisons claimed he fully exploited Perry’s struggles, although he understood the dangers attached to relapsing.
They claimed the doctor repeatedly violated his professional duties by secretly supplying ketamine to the actor.
Rest in peace, Matthew Perry!
