Kendra Duggar’s family is reportedly facing emotional and financial turmoil as tensions continue escalating around Joseph Duggar’s ongoing legal troubles.
New claims suggest the reality TV star has distanced herself from her parents during one of the most difficult periods of their lives.
The reported fallout has now sparked questions about where family loyalties truly stand as the controversy surrounding the Duggars deepens.
Kendra Duggar Reportedly Stops Communicating With Her Parents
According to an insider who spoke with Us Weekly, communication between Kendra Duggar and her family has seemingly broken down entirely in recent weeks.
“Kendra is not communicating with her family. The Caldwells have left the home they were living in and all of their belongings are in storage,” the source claimed.
The insider added that the family remains uncertain about their future after allegedly losing both housing and financial stability amid the ongoing situation. They shared, “They are still working out what their next steps will be. It has been an extremely stressful time especially given the circumstances.”
Kendra is the oldest child of Paul and Christina Caldwell and grew up in a large household alongside eight siblings. Sources now claim the pressure surrounding Joseph Duggar’s legal battle has created painful fractures within the family dynamic.
“Relocating is always difficult, especially with a large family and the stress they are under,” the insider explained. “They are considering a move out of state. Paul is looking for work to support the family because he had to leave his job.”
Joseph Duggar’s Arrest Created New Family Turmoil
The reported tension intensified after Joseph Duggar was arrested earlier this year.
The former “Counting On” star was charged in March with lewd and lascivious behavior involving molestation of a victim younger than 12 years old, as well as lewd and lascivious behavior conducted by a person 18 years or older. Joseph has pleaded not guilty to the accusations and was released from jail after posting $600,000 bail.
Kendra Duggar and Joseph were also both charged with four counts of endangering the welfare of a minor and four counts of false imprisonment in a separate case unrelated to the molestation allegations.
Sources claim the Caldwell family’s focus has now shifted toward supporting the alleged victim connected to Joseph’s case. According to the insider, the family’s main “priority right now is to support” the alleged victim.
The same source alleged that the Caldwells are now attempting to separate themselves from the Duggar family entirely.
“They want to distance themselves from the Duggars as much as possible, but it hurts them to be cut off by Kendra,” the insider said.
Before the family reportedly left their home, the situation had allegedly become unbearable. “The utilities were cut off and the family felt unsafe,” the source added.
Kendra Duggar’s Family Launches GoFundMe Amid Crisis
As the stress surrounding the situation mounted, Kendra Duggar’s father publicly launched a GoFundMe campaign seeking help for relocation costs.
“My family is facing a difficult and urgent situation. We are in need to cover displacement expenses,” Paul Caldwell wrote on the fundraiser page.
He clarified that donations would not be connected to Joseph Duggar’s legal defense, adding, “We will not be using these funds for [our] legal expenses.”
According to reports, the family is now desperately trying to rebuild after allegedly losing both employment and housing in the fallout tied to Joseph’s arrest.
“More than anything they want to feel safe and start over and to enter counseling to heal,” the insider explained.
Another source also claimed support for the Caldwells has been limited while the controversy continues unfolding publicly.
“Not many people are there to help” them, the insider alleged.
Kendra Duggar Allegedly Sided With The Duggars
The newest claims arrive only months after another source alleged Kendra Duggar had chosen to align herself with the Duggars instead of her own parents.
“I don’t know if it’s fear or naivete, but Kendra has totally sided with the Duggars and not her family,” the insider told Us Weekly in April.
The source then added, “She is brainwashed.”
Those accusations reportedly created an even deeper divide between Kendra and her parents, Christina and Paul Caldwell. Sources also alleged the Duggars have distanced themselves from the Caldwells during the ordeal.
“I can’t believe how [the Duggars] have treated [the Caldwells],” another insider claimed.
The allegations became even more troubling when claims surfaced that the Caldwells were being pushed out of their living situation entirely.
“They want them out. They had the lights and electricity cut off from the house they are in. It’s awful. They are trying to get out,” the source explained.
Caldwell Family Wants Fresh Start Away From The Duggars
Insiders also claimed the Caldwells were seriously considering leaving the area altogether in hopes of escaping the ongoing stress tied to the Duggar family fallout.
Earlier this month, Paul Caldwell explained that fundraising efforts would help cover “moving expenses [and] housing costs such as rent until we can find a place to stay more permanently.”
According to another source, the family believes leaving the state could be the only path toward peace and healing.
“Right now, Christina and Paul are doing everything they can for their family. They want to get out of there and get away [from the Duggars],” the insider shared.
The source continued by describing the emotional exhaustion surrounding the situation, noting, “How would you feel if every place you went, you ran into someone you didn’t want to see? There are so many of them. They just need to be out of there.”
