She said things changed after she received an experimental treatment that she was able to access because of the Right to Try Act, a law signed by Trump. The law allows certain terminally ill patients to seek access to treatments that have not yet been widely approved or made broadly available.

During that period, she was also invited to speak at the Republican National Convention.
After her stint on Trump’s 2020 campaign advisory board, Harp spent time as a host on the far-right One America News Network. When Trump launched his 2024 bid for the White House, Harp returned to his political operation, working as an aide to his campaign. She later became a research adviser and assistant to Trump, cementing her place among the loyal aides who remained close to him during his political comeback.

It has been claimed that Harp transcribes his social media messages as he dictates them and may also log in to his Truth Social account to publish them, although the White House has denied that she serves as his official spokesperson.
Harp also reportedly compiles printed copies of favorable news coverage and presents them to Trump for review. Unsurprisingly, the role has led to her being dubbed the “human printer” by The New York Times, a reference to the portable printing device she is said to carry while on official duties.

Many online users have raised questions about whether the closeness between Trump and his aide could point to more than a professional relationship.
The speculation intensified after Harp was reportedly among several high-profile individuals who accompanied Trump on his recent trip to China.
“Where there’s smoke, there’s fire. She’s definitely his type, young, blonde, and attractive,” one person claimed on X.
Another user directly asked, “Is Trump having an affair with Natalie Harp?” prompting a wave of trolling against the president.
Others mocked the speculation by taking a swipe at Trump’s age and health, with one user suggesting he may no longer be physically capable of an affair. Another echoed the sentiment, writing that while Trump might welcome the attention, they doubted anything could actually happen.
