Candace Owens is once again criticizing Erika Kirk over her route to becoming the CEO of Turning Point USA.
The YouTuber, who was an associate of the widow’s husband, Charlie Kirk, questioned an audio recording that appeared to show the late right-wing influencer naming Erika as his successor.
Candace Owens alleged that the audio may have been AI-manipulated, and pointed to earlier claims that Turning Point USA had reportedly experimented with AI-generated voice technology.
Erika Kirk And TPUSA Were Hit With Claims Of AI Manipulation Of A Charlie Kirk Audio
In a new video posted to her YouTube channel, Candace Owens took aim at the viral audio of the late right-wing influencer Charlie Kirk appearing to announce his wife, Erika Kirk, as his successor.
The audio was played at a Turning Point USA event several weeks ago, in what appeared to be the nonprofit’s effort to reassure members and volunteers that Erika was the right person to succeed Charlie.
Owens pointed out several inconsistencies in the recording, one of which was what she described as an unnatural speech flow and unusually formal phrasing.
Adding to her claims, Owens alleged that the repetition and cadence of the voice sounded inconsistent with Kirk’s typical speaking style.
“It just doesn’t flow when you hear it. And it’s also remarkably formal,” she added.
She then concluded from her perceptions that Erika and her team, perhaps, used “synthetic audio manipulation” to create the succession audio.
Candace Owens Pointed To Claims That TPUSA Has Experimented With AI-Generated Voice Technology
While analyzing the audio, Owens further highlighted the possibility of AI manipulation by referencing earlier claims that Turning Point USA had experimented with AI-generated voice technology in internal presentations.
In particular, these synthetic voice tools were reportedly used at donor events and in organizational materials for the nonprofit.
Based on these claims, Owens called for clarification from either Erika or representatives of the organization.
“We would like a response on this. Are the donors lying? A simple yes or no would do as a starting place,” she said.
Unsurprisingly, Owens’ comments sparked heated debate on both sides of the divide, with Erika’s supporters dismissing the claims as baseless, while critics of the TPUSA CEO argued that the allegations do raise questions about the succession video.
Despite the controversy, no verified technical analysis has confirmed whether the audio is authentic or AI-generated.
Furthermore, the Daily Mail, in a recent report, claims to have been given access to analyze the actual video of the succession audio, showing Charlie announcing Erika as the person to lead TPUSA in his absence, seemingly confirming its legitimacy.
Owens herself has responded to the news outlet’s latest bombshell exclusive, claiming that it doesn’t contain the actual video and that the article is “behind a paywall because its contents are so absurd that even the journalists are too embarrassed to perpetuate it.”

Elsewhere in the video, Owens questioned the timing of when the audio was shared, arguing that Erika should have been focused on mourning the death of her husband rather than solidifying her leadership position.
The situation appeared to further reinforce Owens’ broader claims, including her repeated suggestion of a conspiracy theory alleging Erika’s possible involvement in Charlie’s death.
“Just to be clear, I am not being dramatic. If this turns out to be real, I would assert that she is capable of real harm, that she’s dangerous, and I would extend that to every person around her who approves that monstrous plan,” Owens shared.
Taking a further swipe at Erika Kirk, Candace Owens described her as a possible “ruthless psychopath” and suggested that, if her theory were true, it would also imply that she lacked human emotion.

Erika received huge support online following Owens latest remarks about her and her role as the CEO of TPUSA since her husband’s death.
“I watched this LIVE when it happened. I tried telling people, they don’t want to hear it. Candace Owens is a LIAR, everyone else saying he didn’t pick Erika is a LIAR & scum,” a top MAGA influencer said online while sharing a screenshot of the Daily Mail‘s report.
Another person harshly stated, “Candace Owens is a full-blown f-cking lunatic who’s more unhinged than a stripper on bath salts. Get a life.”
One more critic commented, “Candace is crashing out! In true narcissistic fashion doubling down on her lies. Watch her flip into victim mode again. She needs people to feel sorry for her.”
Erika Kirk Was Announced As TPUSA CEO In September
Owens’ persistent criticism of Erika Kirk began around the time the mother of two was named CEO of the nonprofit her late husband left behind.
The announcement was made in September after the board unanimously reached the decision, in line with what they said was Charlie’s wish.
“It was the honor of our lives to serve as board members at Charlie’s side,” read a statement from the board, per People Magazine. “Charlie prepared all of us for a moment like this one. He worked tirelessly to ensure that Turning Point USA was built to survive even the greatest tests. And now, it is our great pride to announce Erika Kirk as the new CEO and Chair of the Board for Turning Point USA.”
“All of us at Turning Point USA have a special role in carrying Charlie Kirk’s mantle and completing his vision of bringing us closer to our Lord and fostering a prosperous country for generations to come,” the statement continued. “The attempt to destroy Charlie’s work will become our chance to make it more powerful and enduring than ever before.”
