The Bravo star has come out to deny claims that she was responsible for making the actress appear in the same bed with a famous personality at just barely 18 years old.

Hayden Panettiere spilled the beans about her scary experience with a certain older figure she trusted in her new memoir, emphasizing that she messed up that trust by setting her up for harm.

The media personality’s spokesperson came forward to debunk the reports on Wednesday, May 13, noting that they are all examples of the false online rumors Panettiere has had to deal with.

“So let me be 100 percent clear about this: It most certainly is not Diana, and anyone who claims it is her will be sued,” the statement read as shared by Page Six.

During an interview on Monday, May 11, with Jay Shetty of the “On Purpose with Jay Shetty” podcast, Panettiere claimed she was on a boat cruise with friends and was led by a protector and someone she trusted into a very small room downstairs.

“She physically put me in the bed next to this undressed man who was very famous. “It was like this was just an average day for him, and this is something that happens all the time,” Panettiere continued.

The actress added that she immediately swung into survival mode and knew she would not like to be put in such a dangerous situation. Unfortunately, she realized that her only chance at staying alive was being trapped with the woman on that boat.

The Actress Opened Up About Maturing At Such A Tender Age

Panettiere continued that, years in hindsight, she is able to understand how appalling the act is, given that she was just 18, but had lived such a huge life that tricked her into thinking she was mature enough.

She noted that she came face-to-face with making a challenging decision during that encounter on the boat, and that was when she discovered that she was not so capable of being fully aware of what was going on around her after all. 

The media personality used her experience as an avenue to convey an important life lesson of holding on to a trusted friend or loved one, because things do not always appear exactly how they seem.

Panettiere’s memoir is set to be released on May 19. It will explore every theme in her life, ranging from personal relationships to the dark side of growing up in the entertainment industry.
