Reba McEntire can’t wait to walk down the aisle with the man of her dreams and their adorable animals.
The Hollywood veteran and her “Happy’s Place” co-star, Rex Linn, have big plans for their union. They reportedly got engaged in December 2024, four years after their relationship began.
Reba McEntire has been married and divorced twice before meeting Rex Linn. She also dated businessman Anthony Lasuzzo from 2017 to 2019.
Reba McEntire And Rex Linn Want Their Animals To Be A Part Of Their Union

McEntire opened up about her wedding plans with Linn in a new interview, revealing their animals won’t be absent from the ceremony. “We’re going to have to have dogs there. I have two granddogs, Watson and Belle, so they may be the ring bearers or something like that,” McEntire said.
The granddogs, Watson and Belle, are owned by McEntire’s son, Shelby Blackstock, and his wife, Marissa Blackstock. The dogs may not be the only animals to make the guest list, as McEntire referenced other animals such as longhorns, donkeys, and horses.
There were also cats, animals that McEntire and Linn had plenty of fun with. While she was certain about having her pets at the ceremony, a date has not been set yet because of Linn’s busy schedule. In McEntire’s words to ExtraTV:
“They’re kind of being pushed every time Rex gets a job because he always says work comes first. Heck, we might be engaged 30 years before we get married, but we’re okay with that, too.”
The Couple Wants To Tie The Knot In An Intimate Setting

When asked about the scale of celebrations she wanted for her big day, McEntire revealed that she was uninterested in a massive public event. Instead, she wanted something “kind of in between,” but it must “be low-key” with lots of her friends and family.
McEntire also raved about enjoying her engagement period, declaring, “I am totally happy, I really am. Loving life, enjoying what I do.” She wasn’t alone, as her fiancé echoed similar sentiments in an interview with the outlet at the NBCUniversal Emmy Luncheon in Beverly Hills.
During the April 2026 event, Linn confirmed that he and McEntire had yet to set a date for their wedding. He explained that they were more focused on enjoying their engagement and referenced McEntire’s past trips down the aisle. “She’s been married prior. I’ve never been married, so if I have to wait another year, ‘Who cares?'” Linn said.
The Duo Don’t Have A Date But A Venue

Although Linn and McEntire weren’t rushing to tie the knot, they already had certain plans in place for the big day. One of such plans was the venue for their wedding ceremony, which Linn revealed as their Tennessee ranch.
Linn raved about the property, which was the same place he popped the big question to McEntire in December 2024. He shared similar thoughts about the wedding scale like McEntire recently did, saying:
“We’ve got a great ranch in Tennessee, and we’re gonna have all of our animals there. I don’t think it’ll be too big.”
Linn added that they might have “a small wedding, and then possibly have a big party.” He also raved about having the best time working with McEntire on set and returning home together.
Inside The ‘Big Sky: Deadly Trails’ Co-Stars’ Relationship

Last September, The Blast reported that Linn and McEntire had confirmed their engagement months after it happened. They acknowledged the change in their relationship status at the 2025 Emmy Awards during a red carpet interview.
McEntire reflected on the start of their romance in 2021, recalling that Linn had been her comfort and support in 2020 after her mother got sick. She shared that he would often call her, and they started visiting each other’s homes until their relationship blossomed into love.
Their engagement confirmation came months after McEntire confessed that she wouldn’t mind walking down the aisle a third time. She declared that if Linn were ready to tie the knot, she would happily oblige.
Reba McEntire Raves About Finding Genuine Happiness At 70

A month after confirming her engagement to Linn, The Blast reported that McEntire had reflected on finding happiness in her seventies. She declared that it was “amazing” and “wonderful” being 70 and getting to do the things she wanted to do at the level she wished to do them.
McEntire gushed about her blossoming relationship with Linn, claiming someone like her fiancé had never loved her. She dubbed Linn “a good guy,” crediting him for making her time on “Happy’s Place” fun as they always had “a blast” together.
Her gushing tributes came months after she was accused of being overbearing at work. The Blast covered the story in August 2025, reporting that a source alleged that many found McEntire’s presence uncomfortable during the 28th season of “The Voice.”
