Spencer Pratt is choosing to prioritize his safety as he continues his shot for the Los Angeles Mayor’s office.
The reality TV star turned politician had to change residence once again for fear of his life recently, and this time it is not tied to a natural disaster. He lost his childhood and marital home in the tragic Pacific Palisades wildfire, which claimed twelve lives and the property of thousands last year.
Spencer Pratt has been vocal about his vision for Los Angeles should he get elected into office. He has promised to tackle trending issues like the high crime rate and homelessness with the rising support of many.
Spencer Pratt Living Arrangement Changes Yet Again

Pratt made headlines in his campaign for Mayor of L.A. by pointing fingers at the incumbent mayor, Karen Bass, for what he claims she did to his family.
After their home was reduced to ashes in the wildfire last year, the aspiring mayor and his family were forced to move into a trailer home.
Now, reports have shown that Pratt no longer resides in the trailer but in one of the posh hotels in Los Angeles.
Sources with direct knowledge of his living situation told TMZ that he has been staying at the Hotel Bel-Air for over a month. On the other hand, his wife, Heidi Montag, and their two sons are staying in Carpinteria, just north of L.A.
While their trailer sits empty, Pratt is paying at least $1,500 a night for a room at the Hotel Bel-Air, or may have the Swan Lake Suite as home for now, which goes for $8,090 per night.
Besides the secured premises, the hotel offers other luxurious relaxation benefits like a spa, plunge pools, a swimming pool, restaurants, and more.
Although Pratt once insinuated that he lived in his trailer in a campaign ad, that seems not to be the case, as he has debunked living in his trailer. In his words, “I have never told anyone I lived there.”
The Aspiring Mayor Claims His Life Is Being Threatened

Pratt previously disclosed the reason he had to ditch his trailer home in a conversation with media outlets. He shared that he traded his Airstream for the Bel-Air because he had been getting death threats.
The media personality noted that he could not detail the specifics about the threats made against his life but stressed that “a lot is unsafe now.”
“The reality is the Bassholes and Ramaniacs are a little bit whacko, and since I destroyed them in the debate, and am surging in the polls, they are getting increasingly desperate and hostile,” he said, seemingly implying that the situation is tied to his Mayoral race.
Pratt explained that, in light of the fear for his safety, opting for the hotel was the best bet. He found peace knowing that Hotel Bel-Air has “its own armed security [and] that has become the only option.”
Rebuilding Was Out Of The Picture For The Former MTV Star

Pratt and Montag admittedly spilled the beans on their financial situation earlier this year. As you know, the couple was among the thousands of people gravely affected by the wildfire last year, after there were multiple City failures, from a lack of water to a hundred fire trucks that were sitting out of service.
“Unfortunately for rebuilding, we just don’t have the finances. We barely could pay the mortgage on that house,” Montag revealed in a previous interview with Gold Derby.
She explained that the aftermath of the disaster left them feeling displaced, with nowhere to go and no funds to start their life over. The Blast shared that rebuilding was a wide blanket situation for other families affected in the region.
Montag noted that many people either bought their houses decades ago when they were much cheaper or inherited them before the area evolved into an enclave of luxury housing. “Unfortunately, for us right now, it’s just not looking hopeful,” the mom of two painfully lamented.
The Media Personality Raised The Stakes With Campaign Funding

While the former reality star struggled with the finances to rebuild his home, the funds for his vision to rebuild L.A. sprang from the pockets of many who donated to this campaign. Last month, The Blast reported that Pratt had raised so much money and even surpassed Bass’s campaign finances.
The entertainer turned politician has raised over $500,000 for his campaign since declaring his intentions to run for office in January.
According to last month’s reviewed campaign records, Pratt has raised a total of $539,616.85, which was almost $50,000 more than his opponent.
Incumbent mayor Bass at that time had a total of $494,734.76 in her campaign funds pocket. The huge sums came from the donations of generous supporters, especially in the entertainment industry, who support his cause.
“The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” and “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” producer Jeff Jenkins, along with his fellow “The Hills” alum, Lauren Conrad’s ex, Doug Reinhardt, donated. Popular actress and “American Idol” runner-up, Katharine McPhee, also made the list of financial supporters.
Spencer Pratt Is Ready To Swing Into Action Come Election Success

The aspiring mayor has shared his first line of action if he comes out on top in the upcoming mayoral elections. He said that Los Angeles would face immediate changes under his leadership.
Pratt explained that his plans are far from expected, as he intends to give three weeks of grace and warning before aggressively enforcing laws across the city.
“My plan, the first three weeks, signs up across the city: no more nakedness, no more drug use, no more robbing, no worse, no more dog abuse,” he revealed on a recent podcast.
He stressed that those weeks would be spent warning people throughout L.A. that strict consequences were in line, hence ignorance would not be an excuse.
As shared by The Blast, Pratt strongly believes that establishing authority upon assuming office would push many offenders out of the city before the enforcement of the law begins.
He noted that sending a message that leadership had changed was the strategy to ensure residents who break the law self-check themselves.
“The Hills” alum also promised to curb the issue of homelessness in addition to fighting crime and heavy drug use to restore the old glory of Los Angeles.
Will Spencer Pratt’s plan for L.A. become reality?
