Meghan Markle traded royal headlines for roller coasters and princess hugs this week as she gave fans a rare glimpse into her private family life at Disneyland.
The Duchess of Sussex quietly enjoyed a celebration-filled getaway with Prince Harry, Prince Archie, and Princess Lilibet while also marking Mother’s Day with her mom, Doria Ragland.
From Disney princess encounters to heartfelt parenting reflections, Meghan’s latest post offered a softer look at the California life she and her husband have worked hard to build away from royal pressures.
Meghan Markle Celebrates Family Birthdays With Disneyland Getaway

Meghan Markle brought the magic of Disneyland into her family’s spring celebrations during a special visit to Anaheim, California.
The 44-year-old visited the iconic theme park on Monday, alongside Prince Harry, their children Prince Archie, Princess Lilibet, and her mother, Doria Ragland.
According to PEOPLE, the outing doubled as a birthday celebration for the couple’s children.
Archie recently turned seven on May 6, while Lilibet will celebrate her fifth birthday on June 4.
“They were celebrating the kids’ birthdays together,” a source told the outlet, adding, “The kids did lots of rides, and it was a special way to extend Mother’s Day for Meghan and her mom.”
The family outing mirrored another Disney-themed celebration from the previous year when Meghan shared moments from Lilibet’s fourth birthday at the theme park.
This year’s trip also featured several adorable interactions between the Sussex children and Disney royalty.
Meghan Gives Fans Glimpses Into The Fun Family Outing
Meghan Markle gave followers a rare peek into the fun-filled Disneyland visit. Taking to Instagram, she posted snapshots from the day, keeping the caption simple with just a red heart emoji.
The carousel began with a photo that showed Meghan giving her mom a kiss on the cheek, with both women wearing Mickey ears, while the kids played behind them with a cluster of mouse-ear balloons.
In another picture, the doting mom was seen from behind with Harry and the children, walking through the California Adventure park.
Among the photos shared online were also heartwarming moments of Lilibet hugging Cinderella and meeting Princess Aurora from “Sleeping Beauty.”
Meghan also uploaded a playful video to her Instagram Stories showing Mickey Mouse greeting Ragland with a hug while she, Minnie Mouse, and Lilibet looked on nearby.
Meghan Markle Previously Shared Emotional Mother’s Day Tribute
Meghan’s latest Disneyland photos come after several deeply personal family tributes she has posted over the last year.
For Mother’s Day in 2025, she shared a touching image holding Archie and Lilibet in her arms while celebrating motherhood. “Happy Mother’s Day! Cheers to juggling it all with joy!” she wrote.
“And to these two gems — who still attempt to climb ‘mama mountain,’ smother me with kisses, and make every day the most memorable adventure … being your mom is the greatest privilege of my life,” she added.
Meghan ended the message with another heartfelt line directed at her children. “I, too, ‘love you more than all the stars in all the sky, all the raindrops, and all the salt on all the french fries in all the world,’” the 44-year-old wrote.
Earlier that same year, Meghan also celebrated the British version of Mother’s Day, known as Mothering Sunday.
On Instagram, she shared a photo of what appeared to be a homemade pie decorated with fruit slices and captioned it, “Our family tradition. Mothering Sunday in the U.K.,” alongside a lemon emoji.
Meghan And Prince Harry Continue Sharing Family Glimpses
Although Meghan Markle and Prince Harry remain protective of their children’s privacy, they occasionally allow fans small windows into their home life.
Earlier this month, Meghan celebrated Archie’s seventh birthday with a nostalgic Instagram post featuring Harry and their son. “7 years later…happy birthday to our sweet boy,” she captioned the upload.
One photo showed Harry cradling newborn Archie while relaxing on a couch. Another image captured the little boy and his sister walking side by side along a beach near the family’s Montecito home.
Meghan and Harry welcomed their son in May 2019. During the infant’s debut, the new mom described motherhood as “magic” and “pretty amazing.” The “Deal or No Deal” alum gushed, “I have the two best guys in the world, so I’m really happy.”
Meghan Markle Opens Up About Creating ‘Normalcy’ In California
Meghan has previously spoken about how important it is for her and Harry to give Archie and Lilibet a sense of everyday life despite their unique circumstances.
In an earlier interview with PEOPLE, Meghan explained that building community has become a major focus for the family since relocating to California.
“Being part of a community means you put effort into it. Once you know us, I think you want us to have the same normalcy as parents and for our children as they do, despite however unique our situation is,” Meghan said.
She also shared that the family enjoys doing ordinary activities together around Montecito.
“We go to a lot of dinners, and not just in people’s homes or private rooms; we just go into the restaurant. “I really love that we can just have fun,” Meghan explained.
