To most people, Barron Trump is simply the youngest son of Donald Trump. But online, a bizarre theory has convinced some that he may also be a time traveler.

The conspiracy first gained attention after Trump’s 2016 election victory. It centers on a series of old fiction books that share Barron’s name and contain strange similarities that internet users found hard to ignore.

While Barron himself has never addressed the claims, some members of the Trump family have publicly discussed the unusual theory and denied that it could be true.

As public interest in the Trump family grew after Donald Trump’s rise to the U.S. presidency in 2016, internet users began digging into Barron’s life and background.

Before long, online communities uncovered a pair of old fiction books, “Travels and Adventures of Little Barron Trump and His Wonderful Dog Bulger” and “Barron Trump’s Marvelous Underground Journey,” which quickly sparked the idea that Barron could somehow be a time traveler, per the Times of India.

Written more than a century ago, the stories immediately caught people’s attention because of their unusual similarities to the modern Trump family. Not only did the main character share Barron’s uncommon first name, but he was also portrayed as a wealthy young aristocrat who lived a privileged lifestyle.

To conspiracy theorists, the parallels appeared strikingly similar to Barron’s real-life image as the son of a billionaire real estate mogul and U.S. president.

A Third Book Added Fuel To The Trump Conspiracy

Adding to the strange coincidences surrounding the books, readers also noticed that the young protagonist’s mentor was named “Don,” a detail many conspiracy theorists took as a reference to Donald Trump.

But the theories did not stop there. Internet users soon uncovered another old novel, “1900; or, The Last President,” which fueled the online speculation even further.

The book describes a wave of political unrest and social chaos following the election of a controversial outsider who unexpectedly becomes president. To the conspiracists, the similarities appeared eerily close to the political tensions and nationwide protests that followed Trump’s 2016 victory over Hillary Clinton.

Even if the earlier connections could be dismissed as a coincidence, conspiracy theorists found yet another detail they believed linked Barron to alleged time-travel technology.

This part of the theory centered on Nikola Tesla, the famed inventor who has long been surrounded by rumors that he experimented with time travel. Although there has never been any evidence confirming those claims, theorists became fascinated by the involvement of Trump family relative John G. Trump.

The MIT professor and respected electrical engineer was among the experts asked to review Tesla’s papers and research materials after the inventor’s death in 1943.

As a result, some online users claim John could have discovered unconventional inventions or hidden scientific breakthroughs, including a supposed time machine.

Barron Trump’s Niece Weighed In On The Rumor

Since the conspiracy theories first emerged, Barron has never publicly addressed them, and it remains unclear whether he ever intends to.

However, one member of the Trump family has responded to the speculation. During an appearance on Jake Paul’s podcast, Barron’s niece, Kai Trump, was asked about the bizarre online theory, per UNILAD.

She admitted that she had seen some of the conspiracy theories circulating on TikTok, but reassured viewers that her uncle was definitely not secretly traveling through time.

“No, he’s not,” Kai doubled down. “I’m sure… I’ve seen some stuff on TikTok. He’s not, don’t worry.”

Another Trump Family Member Also Shut Down The Time-Travel Theory

After Kai, Lara Trump, who is married to Barron’s older half-brother Eric Trump, also addressed the time-travel theory on her podcast. She leaned into the viral curiosity by titling the episode “Is Barron Trump a Time Traveler,” clearly aiming to draw in listeners intrigued by the online speculation.

However, when asked the question, her response was straightforward and unambiguous.

“Barron Trump is not a time traveler. Sorry to say it,” the president’s daughter-in-law shared. “I think the theory’s crazy, obviously. But, listen, that should show you out there just how much really crazy stuff exists, okay?”

“I’ve known Barron [for] 18 years. He is not a time traveler,” Lara added.
