The 41-year-old was out in Europe to film her “Lifetimes” music video, and the whole thing cost her dearly as she wound up slapped with a massive fine. While Katy herself wasn’t fined, her production company was ordered to pay for filming at the Ses Salines Natural Park in Ibiza without permission, following the absence of any application for a permit. The fine totaled just over 6,000 euros, which equates to around $7000. Katy has remained relatively hush-hush about the whole thing.

By August of 2025, Katy Perry was making the news for landing herself in that fine as the Balearic government took her breach seriously. While Katy has not personally addressed the issue, her rep did speak to Variety, stating:
“The local video production company assured us that all necessary permits for the video were secure,” adding: “We have since learned that one permit was in process, although we were given verbal authority to go ahead.”

Katy’s rep also claimed that the star and her crew “adhered to all regulations” and had the “utmost respect” for the environment in which they were in. Regardless, that fine still came.
