The sea of Tyreek Hill‘s legal trouble billows as more claims are brought to light.

The NFL champ is in court facing more charges of physical abuse from an alleged incident that occurred nearly three years ago. This comes amid his estranged wife’s search for previous records of domestic violence tied to the athlete’s name.

Tyreek Hill has been slammed by his estranged wife, Keeta Vaccaro, with allegations of domestic violence that allegedly began shortly after they tied the knot in 2023. The pair welcomed a daughter and kicked off their divorce process seventeen months after their nuptials.

The civil trial between Hill and a social media influencer, Sophie Hall, who claims she suffered a broken leg during an incident with the athlete, kicked off on Thursday, May 7. Hall claims that the ex-Miami Dolphins wide receiver assaulted and battered her during a football drill workout in June 2023 at his former Southwest Ranches home.

The plaintiff alleges that Hill was negligent after the incident, resulting in a fractured tibia that required surgery and the insertion of two screws. According to the filed court documents, the influencer is seeking over $50,000 in damages.

Hall’s legal representative, Jonathan Gdanski, said, “The case from our perspective is about an aggressive act,” during his opening statement. He explained how the pair met the jurors before detailing his client’s narrative on the incident. Gdanski said that Hall and Hill met on June 28 and began running offensive line-style drills even though she was not a professional athlete.

During the drills, Hall was instructed to rush towards the footballer, who, after they made contact, pushed him backward. They supposedly laughed it off, but Hill was allegedly “humiliated” in front of friends and family. He then switched positions and forcefully shoved Hall, causing the fracture.

Local 10 reports details of the opening statements from opposing counsel who strongly disagrees with the social media personality’s version of events.

Hill’s attorneys told a different story, alleging that she tripped over a dog at their client’s home, which caused her injury. They maintained that there was no contact between the footballer and Hall.

“As he goes around, she steps on the dog and goes down on her knee,” Hill’s defense attorney Rob Horwitz said in opening statements. The athlete’s attorney also explained to jurors that Hall was not forced to participate in the drills. She understood they involved physical contact and voluntarily participated.

Horwitz also argued that the influencer remained at their client’s home for three days after the incident and did not seek immediate medical attention until returning to her Tampa-area residence. Gdanski stated that Hall underwent surgery and presented X-rays to jurors as evidence, showing the extent of the injury. 

Sophie Hall Previously Disclosed That Post-Injury Intimacy Occurred

The OnlyFans model shared details of the incident in a deposition obtained by The Daily Mail last year. She admitted that after the incident where Hill allegedly knocked her to the ground, he gave her a piggyback ride to his bedroom in the mansion, where they had sex.

Hall admitted that they were on good enough terms to sleep together within hours of the June 28, 2023, clash and repeat the romp the next day. During the deposition, Horwitz asked if she had called the police, asked to stay in a different room, or attempted to leave the premises, to which she responded negatively.

“No, because he was only aggressive in that moment after they had laughed at him, and during those plays, but after the plays, it went back to a normal demeanor, so he was being more himself,” the plus-sized model said at the time. She, however, noted that prior to the night of the incident, they had not been physically intimate and had consensual sex “just once.”

Vaccaro claims that her estranged husband was physically abusive towards her months into their marriage, including when she was pregnant with their daughter, Capri. She cited incidents in her domestic violence lawsuit detailing how the alleged abuse occurred, noting that he caused bodily harm to her on eight different occasions during their marriage.

To buttress her claims, the mom of one wants to issue subpoenas to various law enforcement agencies that previously investigated allegations against her soon-to-be ex-husband. She shared that those past records will show evidence of Hill’s past crimes and help establish a pattern of intentional violent behavior.

As reported by The Blast, Vaccaro also wants “certified copies of the football wide receiver’s  grandparents’ (who are witnesses) criminal convictions.” She explained that involving his grandparents is necessary as they serve as his “fixers” who help him whenever criminal issues come up.

On February 16, 2026, Hill’s four-year journey with the Miami Dolphins was officially over. This came after he ended his season last September with a major leg injury. The athlete announced that he had been let go from the team subtly by changing his Instagram bio to “Unemployed,” which caught the eyes of fans.

He originally played for the Kansas City Chiefs before he was traded to the Dolphins, and he is currently a free agent. The NFL confirmed the news of his exit from the team on its social media platform. Fans reacted to the news, with many questioning why Hill was let go since he’s still good on the field.
