King Charles’ Highgrove home seems to have undergone a shake-up in the decor arrangement, as a photo of Meghan and Harry that used to be on display has vanished from its location.
The Sussexes are currently estranged from the royal family after making several damaging allegations against them and dropping their royal roles to relocate abroad.
Charles and Harry have only had sporadic meetings in the past couple of years, but reports claim he’s looking to reunite him with his elder brother William, as he misses his grandkids.
King Charles’ Home No Longer Displays Sussexes
Charles’ Highgrove property appears to have undergone a major shake-up after eagle-eyed royal fans noticed a difference in the decor arrangement. The country residence is a personal favorite of the monarch, who is known for filling it with personal effects, including family portraits.
According to Hello! Magazine, royal photographer Chris Jackson took to his Instagram Story to share a photo he captured of a display inside one of the rooms. In the post, William and Harry could be seen standing shoulder-to-shoulder with Charles, while another image showed the King holding his grandson, Prince Louis.
It remains unclear what exactly happened, but previous footage captured by influencer Lydia Millen in 2024 showed the table displaying a framed photograph from Harry and Meghan’s 2018 wedding day.
Royal Family Rift Worsened After Sussex Exit
Harry and Meghan were initially close to Charles, with the King even walking the former “Suits” actress down the aisle after her father was unable to attend the wedding. However, things quickly spiraled from that point until 2020, when the Duke and Duchess of Sussex decided to step away from their royal roles and begin a new life as private citizens abroad.
The strain became more pronounced as the couple gave several interviews in the years that followed, making damaging allegations against the royal family. The worst of these claims involved racism, lack of support, institutional manipulation, and personal family rifts.
In his 2023 blockbuster memoir “Spare,” Harry detailed how William allegedly assaulted him. He also claimed the Prince of Wales described Meghan as “difficult,” “rude,” and “abrasive,” which the Duke said was a “parroting of the press narrative” surrounding his American wife, per The Guardian.
King Charles Reportedly Wants William And Harry To Reunite
Since moving to the U.S., Harry has made several trips back to the U.K., particularly for his court case seeking the reinstatement of his security detail. He reunited with his father following the monarch’s cancer diagnosis, but their relationship has reportedly remained strained.
Reports suggest His Majesty hopes to reunite his warring sons as speculation surrounding Harry’s possible return to the U.K. intensifies. However, William’s hardline stance is reportedly proving to be a major obstacle.
“Charles is at the point where he wants to forgive Harry and find a path forward, but William simply won’t hear of it, no matter what his father says,” an insider told Radar Online.
Charles Said To Be Missing Archie And Lilibet
Charles is reportedly hoping to reconnect with Harry so he can spend more time with his grandchildren, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, amid speculation the Sussexes could return to the U.K. this summer.
According to The News Digital, Harry and Meghan may travel to Britain in July for an Invictus Games-related event. However, Harry is said to be concerned about how Meghan would be received publicly and within royal circles, prompting discussions about possible “clear-the-air” talks with the King before any visit takes place.
Kate Middleton Reportedly Clashed With King Charles
It appears Harry and Meghan weren’t the only royals to ruffle feathers within the family, as reports suggest William’s wife, Kate Middleton, was once left “offended” by a request from Charles and Camilla.
According to Page Six, royal author Christopher Andersen explained in his new book, “Kate! The Courage, Grace and Power of the Woman Who Will Be Queen,” that the reigning couple allegedly asked her to change the spelling of her name from “Catherine” to “Katherine.” The author claimed the couple worried that having a third royal cypher featuring a “C” was “overkill.”
The Princess of Wales was reportedly “offended” by the request, with Andersen claiming a “fuming” William eventually stepped in, calling the suggestion “insulting … not only to Kate but to her entire family.”
