At just 10 years old, Max Alexander has already built an amazing career that just keeps growing and growing. With a list of accomplishments a mile long, he’s about to add one more to the list – the Tribeca Film Festival.
Known for his creative designs at a remarkably young age, Max has been steadily gaining more and more attention in the fashion world for his originality and ambition beyond his years. His latest milestone marks another major step in his journey, as he brings his story to one of the most recognized stages in entertainment and culture. The Tribeca Film Festival appearance further cements his reputation as a rising young talent to watch, expanding his reach from fashion into a broader creative spotlight.
Max and his mom Sherri took some time out of their day to sit down with The Blast to give some insight into the short film that will debut at the film festival next month.
Max Alexander Is Adding Another Big Career Accomplishment To His List

While most 10-year-olds are still unsure of what career they want to pursue when they grow up, Max has created a fashion empire at a young age. The fourth grader, who began his fashion journey at just 4 years old, recently made fashion history as the youngest designer to ever debut a collection during Paris Fashion Week.
By the time Max turned 8, he had already debuted at New York Fashion Week and was named the youngest runway fashion designer by the Guinness World Records.
Next month, Max will add one more big accomplishment to his resume – Tribeca Film Festival.
A recent post on Instagram shared the news. “A story that started with fabric, imagination, and a child who saw the need for change…now on one of the world’s biggest stages,” the post reads. “Couture to the Max has been selected for the 2026 Tribeca Film Festival. Premiering June 13 & 14, 2026.”
Max Alexander Shared Some Insight Into The Short Film

The short filmed titled, “Couture to the Max” will premiere at the film festival on June 13 and 14. The film follows Max as he turns coffee bean bags into a fashion line in Aspen.
“My uncle Eddy owns a coffee roaster and he brought some bags by for me and my brother to play with and I thought they would make a cool dress,” Max told The Blast exclusively. “It’s raw material and I thought I could dye it different colors. It’s a sturdy material.”
After Making The First Dress, Max Had An Idea

After making the first dress, Max thought it “turned out really cool” and starting to think about how he could “dye them and make a whole line.”
When asked why Aspen was chosen to be the backdrop of the project, he shared the thought process.
“I did Denver Fashion Week when I was 7 and the same people who made that show made Aspen,” he said. “So they invited me to Aspen to show my work there and thought it would be really pretty to show my natural fabrics with the mountains around them.”
Max Alexander Wants To Shed Some Light On ‘Discarded Materials’
One thing that Max was very intentional about his show was making sure he was able to “show the world what can be done with discarded materials.”
Max’s mom, Sherri said, “Max was completely unaware of the filming of the documentary and was focused on his creating and his show.”
A goal Max has for people who watch the documentary is that he hopes they are “encouraged to not buy fast fashion.”
Career Goals For The Near Future
While Max has been doing so many great things lately, such as attending the star-studded red carpet premiere to “The Devil Wears Prada 2,” he’s always looking to the future and what he hopes to accomplish next.
“He wants to have his own solo show in New York, he wants to dress someone for the Met Gala, he wants to be in Vogue, wants to visit and highlight places in the world where fast fashion ends up so that more people will understand what happens when they donate or throw away their clothes,” Sherri said.
Max’s message to other kids who have big dreams like he does is, “Practice makes perfect. If you have a dream, just do it. Listen to what your mind says.”
