The actor, in his latest video on Instagram, explained that the changes seen by the fans when it comes to his physique are caused by the treatment he underwent for the carcinoma in his throat. In his words:

“I haven’t been able to eat solid food in months, so I’ve lost 45 pounds. That’s what you’re seeing, and it’s affected my ability to speak.”

He ultimately agreed that the observations surrounding his looks were accurate, but some of the things he had lost were beginning to come back, like his hair.

Coulier shared that he has also lost about 45 pounds since his diagnosis and treatment, but his recent visits to the doctor have shown that everything looked great for his health.

Dave Coulier’s Triumphant Journey Of Beating Two Cancers

In February, The Blast shared that the media personality happily shared that his back-to-back battle with two different kinds of cancer was over. Earlier in the year, he announced that he is now in remission from tongue cancer, just a year after he equally shared that he had defeated Stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma.

Coulier was beyond grateful to have been in remission from the illness, admitting that while the treatments drained him mentally, physically, and psychologically, his loved ones gave him the strength to get through it.

The actor’s tongue cancer diagnosis came right after he concluded his NHL treatment, where he underwent a robotic surgery for the doctors to be able to carry out a biopsy and confirm his second diagnosis.

Coulier was grateful for the early discovery and the chance to commence treatment to arrest the illness. He encouraged others to embark on regular check-ups, prostate exams, and mammograms because cancer sometimes never goes away.

The Comedian’s Spouse Praised His Resilience During Treatment

Coulier’s wife did not hold back on the praises of her husband, referring to his positive attitude, which was a key factor in his journey towards recovery.

As reported by The Blast, she revealed that they got through the tough days by observing the daily ritual of playing music, having mini dance parties, and celebrating all the good moments.

Melissa Coulier admitted that he had very tough days as the chemo had been accumulating in his system. The actor’s wife also shared that he drew strength by honoring the women in his life who encountered similar battles with cancer.

“I think it’s just innately in him. He has had a lot of loss in his life when it comes to having to deal with cancer. He lost his mother, his sister, and his niece. His other sister had it,” Melissa explained.

She also credited the amazing bond he shared with his closely knit family and circle of friends as another source of support during such a challenging period.

In 2022, Coulier took a trip down memory lane to touch on what life felt like battling with alcohol abuse. He proudly declared that he has left that life behind since 2020.

According to the actor, abusing alcohol made him the life of the party and the clown of the group, with his nights ending in countless falls due to the excessive amounts consumed. He would sometimes go on a drinking spree for 8 hours and then fall into a terrible low of two days recovering from the series of bad decisions he had made.

By the time he decided to make a change, Coulier admitted that the mental and physical withdrawal were very challenging for him, but the support of his wife and his friends made it all worth it.

In all, the actor affirmed that sobriety proved to be the best decision for him and his health, and he still got to retain his humor, which always made people laugh.

Wishing Dave Coulier complete healing from all his challenges!
