A routine evening walk turned into a frightening experience for ex-Prince Andrew!
The recently disgraced monarch became a victim of a violent ambush while taking an evening walk near his new home, about four years after his police protection was withdrawn in 2022.
Ex-Prince Andrew was formally stripped of his remaining royal titles, honors, and styles by his brother King Charles in late 2025, at the peak of his past connections with Jeffrey Epstein.
A Scary Sandringham Experience Involving Ex-Prince Andrew

While walking in nearby Sandringham, Prince Andrew endured a terrifying security incident, the report said. The former Duke of York was out for a walk with his dogs on the Sandringham estate in Norfolk on May 6 when a masked man allegedly approached him.
The man, who was said to be wearing a balaclava and sitting in a parked car, yelled at Andrew when he came out of the parked car. The chase quickly spiraled out of control as Andrew, who was accompanied by a member of his private security team, apparently ran back toward his car before quickly driving off as the suspect was chasing him.
The reported incident occurred on public land near Sandringham Royal Parkland, near Marsh Farm, where Andrew is thought to be living. By the evening of Wednesday, May 6, Norfolk Police said that they attended the village of Wolferton following reports of a man acting in an intimidating way.
Police had responded to the scene and charged a man for a public order offense and carrying an offensive weapon, authorities said. The Telegraph confirmed that the suspect has been interviewed at King’s Lynn Police Investigation Center and is being held.
The Scary Incident Spurred Agitations For A Review Of The Former Prince’s Security Provision

The incident unfolded in the village of Wolferton, where Prince Andrew’s new residence, Marsh Farm, is located within the Sandringham Estate. Andrew reportedly relocated to the property in April after leaving Royal Lodge in Windsor Great Park.
The incident left Andrew visibly shaken, and both he and his protection officer were later asked to provide statements to police. As stated by PEOPLE, Andrew’s situation also reignited concerns over the level of security surrounding the former Duke of York.
One source claimed that the situation highlighted the need for security arrangements that properly reflect the risks tied to someone with Andrew’s public profile, suggesting his protection should now be reassessed. King Charles reportedly severed the remaining financial ties with his younger brother in 2024, especially the $1.3 million annual allowance, and no longer funded his private security.
Earlier this year, authorities reportedly arrested him at his Sandringham home as part of an investigation into allegations that he shared confidential information with Jeffrey Epstein during his time serving as a U.K. trade envoy.
Ex-Prince Andrew’s Former Aide Offers To Spill On Jeffrey Epstein

In March, The Blast shared that the former Duke of York was taken into custody, prompting his former assistant Charlotte Manley to break her silence and offer to recount her experiences during her time working for the disgraced royal. Manley worked with the former prince as his private secretary and treasurer beginning in 1996, and later his private secretary and treasurer between 2001 and 2003.
She handled most of Andrew’s financial and administrative responsibilities, which linked her to a payment connected to Ghislaine Maxwell. In the reports, Manley had issued a $100 check from Buckingham Palace treasury in the year 2000 to pay for a massage which was arranged by Maxwell for her boss.
Manley came forward to reveal that she would spill her truth about the issue to the police rather than the press. The former aide has been named by a former masseuse, Monique Giannelloni, for arranging a massage session with Andrew at Buckingham Palace, which he made awkward by appearing nude.
The 66-Year-Old Exchanged Very Friendly Emails With The Late Sex Offender

As noted by The Blast, new emails from the United States Department of Justice raised deeper speculations about the nature of the friendship between Epstein and Andrew. The conversations were made back in July 2010 on the heels of Epstein’s release from house arrest after he was convicted for soliciting prostitution from a minor.
Epstein allegedly sent emails to Andrew and his wife, Sarah Ferguson, letting them know he would be in Paris. Andrew then responded from a profile named “The Duke,” which congratulated him for his freedom from jail and voiced hope for talks about possible business opportunities and connections to the rich and influential.
Andrew’s reply was heavily criticized for being highly cordial, as he described it as “really, really good news.” Before logging off as “HRH The Duke of York KG”, he added that he would also pay homage to Andrew’s new life ahead.
The re-released emails have sparked widespread criticism, as they represent a sharp contrast from Andrew’s previous claims that he had no relationship with Epstein.
Ex-Prince Andrew’s Fall From Grace Described As TV Gold

Since news of Andrew’s scandal became public knowledge, several big studios have reportedly approached him to make a film about his scandals and travels. Netflix, Amazon, MGM Studios, and The Walt Disney Company have all been mentioned to have expressed an interest in potentially producing the movie.
A source continued that Netflix has been in discussion with Left Bank Pictures, which owns the rights to “The Crown.” Screenwriter Jeremy Brock noted that executives at Netflix and Amazon are very interested in the scandal, as writers and producers are already working on scripts to give the story all the elements of a prestige drama.
Brock has previously created a project about Andrew, which is the Amazon MGM Studio 2024 hit drama “A Very Royal Scandal.” The three-part drama series was based on Andrew’s controversial interview in 2019 with BBC Newsnight’s Emily Maitlis about his relationship with Epstein.
Hopefully, ex-Prince Andrew never experiences this scale of attack again!
