Rudy Giuliani Was Hospitalized Last Year

In August 2025, Giuliani was seriously injured in a car accident that occurred in New Hampshire. At the time, Michael Ragusa, the former mayor’s head of security, posted a statement on Instagram alleging that the 81-year-old “was flagged down by a woman who was the victim of a domestic violence incident” and “immediately rendered assistance and contacted 911.”
“He remained on scene until responding officers arrived to ensure her safety. Following this, while traveling on the highway, Mayor Giuliani’s vehicle was struck from behind at high speed,” the statement continued.
Ragusa went on to say that the politician “was transported to a nearby trauma center, where he was diagnosed with a fractured thoracic vertebrae, multiple lacerations and contusions, as well as injuries to his left arm and lower leg.”
Ragusa went on to say that the former Associate Attorney General was in “great spirits” and called him a “beast,” adding, “He survived 9/11,” referring to Giuliani’s tenure as New York City’s mayor from 1994 to 2001.
Rudy Giuliani’s Hospitalization Follows The White House Correspondents’ Dinner Shooting

On April 25, 2026, a man identified as Cole Tomas Allen attempted to storm the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, which was held at the Washington Hilton. The Secret Service stopped Allen as he charged a security checkpoint.
President Donald Trump, Vice President J.D. Vance, and others were safely escorted from the premises. None of the attendees was injured. Federal officials released surveillance footage of the attack on April 30. Allen has been charged with attempting to assassinate the President of the United States, among other charges.
Donald Trump returned to the White House and gave a press conference in the hours immediately following the assassination attempt, praising the Secret Service’s swift response and stating that the White House Correspondents’ Dinner would be rescheduled.
