Imagine planning the perfect getaway to Las Vegas to see Morgan Wallen’s show but not actually getting the opportunity to see the show, and not because of anything you did wrong. That’s what TikTok content creator Ashlinn Goodman of St. Louis, Missouri just went through and she’s sharing her story in the hopes others know of the possible consequences of using a third-party ticket site.

Ashlinn’s TikTok video has gained traction, getting more than 1.5 million views and tons of comments from people who were shocked that this type of situation could happen. She even shared an update video for those keeping track of the story in real time.

Ashlinn took some time out of her Vegas vacation after the unfortunate concert mishap to sit down with The Blast to share her story.

A Fun Vegas Visit Turned Into A Frustrating TikTok Storytime

Ashlinn was so excited to attend Morgan Wallen’s Las Vegas show at Allegiant Stadium on Friday night, but that excitement quickly turned into frustration, sadness, and anger. In her viral TikTok video, she shares why “security escorted” her out of the arena before Wallen stepped foot on the stage.

“I have wanted to go to the Morgan Wallen concert for years and finally, things lined up and he’s in Las Vegas tonight and I was thrilled to buy tickets, but I don’t go to many concerts so I don’t buy tickets to things,” she began her video. “I literally type into my phone on ChatGPT where to buy tickets to concerts and it says SeatGeek.”

On March 24, Ashlinn bought two tickets to Wallen’s concert in Vegas from SeatGeek. She spent $679 for two seats in section 346, row 13, seats five and six. She also booked a hotel and flight for her and her boyfriend for a fun visit to Sin City.

The Trouble Began When Ashlinn Scanned Her Tickets To Enter Allegiant Stadium In Las Vegas

When she scanned her tickets, she was told they were already scanned and was asked if she was trying to re-enter. She told them that she hasn’t entered yet, so the person helping her gets a supervisor who then says it’s “kind of weird” and chalks it up to possible “technical difficulties, a bug in the system.”

Ashlinn asked if she was going to have issues at her seats and was assured it would be fine…but it was anything but fine. After she got to the seats, two young girls approached her and said the seats Ashlinn and her boyfriend were in were their seats.

“We do have what appears to be the same set of tickets,” she continued. “And so we go up to the ushers and they look at her tickets, they look at mine. Since we were already there, they tell the young girls to go to the kiosk and that sometimes things like this happen and that they’ll get it all figured out for them.”

When the opening act, Brooks & Dunn, were on the stage performing, a supervisor approaches Ashlinn and asked her to go with her. She then asked to see her tickets.

“I open my phone and show her my tickets and she says, ‘Well, thank you, basically what I need to see on this is that your tickets have a rolling bar over them, like there’s a scroll over what we scan and so that I can tell your tickets are okay and you’re good to go,’” she continued. “And I go, okay, but like this is the third time now and now Brooks & Dunn is on, I’m getting in and out of my seat, I’m getting a bit aggravated and she’s like, you’re good.”

Once Brooks & Dunn finished their set, it might have been a point when Ashlinn could relax knowing all the trouble was behind her, but it was far from over. The same supervisor went back over and asked to once again see Ashlinn’s tickets, so she once again pulled them up for her. People in her section started asking her what’s going on and Ashlinn’s response — “I don’t know but the whole thing has been a nightmare.”

Before Morgan Wallen Hit The Stage, Ashlinn Was Escorted Out

Just as Wallen was taking the stage, the supervisor showed up once again but this time with five security guards.

“So they pull us up and away from the section and they say since basically there is no owner to these tickets, I have them, the other girl has them, there’s no rightful owner, that we now have to have a security detail take us out of the stadium,” she explained. “Meanwhile, the main act, Morgan Wallen, is coming on as we speak and I go, ‘Wow, this could not be worse timing.’”

That’s when the security guards escorted Ashlinn and her boyfriend out of the stadium. When she asked if there’s anything she can do to be able to stay, Ashlinn was told, “The next event you go to you should just use Ticketmaster and buy your tickets.”

Many viewers of Ashlinn’s TikTok storytime video hopped into the comments to say what’s on their minds.

“Got it — Do not buy from Seat Geek,” one person wrote. Another said, “Hopefully Morgan Wallen sees this and does the right thing.” One other viewer shared, “You can’t tell me there were not 2 unoccupied seats they couldn’t have put you in.. this is wild.”

Ashlinn told The Blast exclusively that not being able to find two empty seats in the arena is something that doesn’t sit well with her at all.

“I said what bothers me the most about this is the timing of it all. He’s going on right now, and they just kept saying you have to go,” she told The Blast. “I think anything was a better solution than that. Put me in standing room, I am five-foot-tall. Or tell me you have to stand here on this landing and can watch.”

Ashlinn Shares An Update And Words Of Advice

Ashlinn said that she feels “very little is going to come out of this” but wants others to be aware of possible issues with purchasing tickets via SeatGeek or any other third-party site.

“As I was preparing to go to the concert, had I seen a video like this, maybe I would have had the opportunity to go back to the drawing board and say a lot of people seem to be having a bad experience with this particular ticket site,” she told The Blast. “I do hope that this helps people.”

After Ashlinn’s video started to pick up speed on TikTok, she noticed that SeatGeek commented, “Hey, reach out to us. We want to help you,” and so she did, but she doesn’t feel the help she received really matched the situation as a whole. They did end up telling her they will refund her money for the tickets and will also give her 20% off her next SeatGeek purchase. She explained that while she’s appreciative of the refund, she would have gotten that from her credit card since they were fraudulent tickets. They also told her that they would walk her through purchasing new tickets so this wouldn’t happen again, making it sound as if she did something wrong.

When asked if she knew if the girl who also had the same tickets was escorted out of the arena, she said she reached out to her after seeing the TikTok video storytime and said she also missed the concert.

Ashlinn reached out to Allegiant Stadium but hasn’t heard back from them yet. Her ultimate message to anyone thinking of purchasing tickets on SeatGeek or any other third-party site is to beware of the possibility of going through something like she has.
