Doechii sparked buzz in mid-April after sharing her look for the 10th Annual Daily Front Row Fashion Los Angeles Awards. At the event, she took the stage to present the Breakthrough Music Stylist of the Year award to her longtime stylist, Sam Woolf. When she posted photos online, including one with Woolf, they got plenty of compliments in the comments. Doechii, however, received some backlash for her outfit.
Doechii Wears Peacock Feathers To The Daily Front Row Fashion Awards

The “Anxiety” rapper attended the awards show in a barely-there ensemble, featuring a peacock-feather-embellished Dilara Findikoglu top that did very little to cover her torso. Below, she wore a black, low-rise, ruched, sheer midi skirt, elongating her frame with brown ankle-strap sandal heels.
Another standout of the look was Doechii’s natural hair, which she styled in a sleek bun. Fans were so happy about the representation that some even asked her for the gel she used.
She accessorized simply with a bangle and stud earrings, while her smoky eye glam tied everything together with an edgy finish.
Not Everyone Appreciated The Look
Several celebrities showed love in the comments on Doechii’s post, including SZA, Solange Knowles, and Joseline Hernandez. Hernandez asked, “How are you this beautiful?” while Knowles simply wrote, “Gorgeeeee.”
One heartwarming comment read, “Her music is so good that somehow her beauty is her second gift to us.” Others continued to hype it, but a few could not get into it.
“This is a no for me,” one wrote. “Girl, you don’t need a dead animal on you to shine. I thought you were different,” another added. Someone else went as far as labeling her an “animal abuser.”
It’s worth noting, however, that peacock tail feathers naturally shed during molting season, meaning they can be collected without harming the bed.
She’s ‘A Literal Black Queen’
Back in March, Doechii completed a Latin American festival run, delivering daring looks at every stop. In Colombia, she wore a tiny bikini top with bold beaded designs on each triangle cup, paired with shimmering sequined low-rise micro shorts.
A cropped kimono, burnt-orange headwrap, stacked bangles, and a long pendant necklace brought the entire look together with a mix of Afrocentric and Y2K influences.
On Instagram, Doechii called herself “a literal black queen” in the caption, a sentiment echoed by Erykah Badu and Chloe Bailey in the comments.
Doechii Is Such A Diva
In Paraguay, she was simply “perfection.” Wearing purple-toned makeup and body glitters, she turned heads in a see-through crochet bikini top with purple floral appliqués offering coverage. She paired it with denim pants cinched with a Y2K belt, while a body chain added extra shine to her already glowing skin.
The glamorous look drew widespread praise, with Willow Smith commenting, “As long as Doechii is living her best life. So am I.”
A Gorgeous Queen
At Argentina’s Lollapalooza, Doechii channeled Bohemian earthy girl aesthetic in a halter-neck fringed cropped top in earthy tones and black low-rise sparkling micro shorts trimmed with tassels.
She accessorized heavily with bead bracelets, boho rings, similar gold toe rings, and mesh anklets, reinforcing her fearless approach to style. “You are truly one of the most beautiful women in the world,” an admirer gushed over the look.
