Charlie Kirk‘s shocking murder left an open sore in the hearts of many.
Friends and family of the late right-wing activist have spent time mourning his death since September 2025, but the scar remains unhealed in the hearts of many who witnessed the tragic incident. The Turning Point USA founder breathed his last at a rally at Utah Valley University before he was shot on September 10.
Charlie Kirk’s alleged killer, Tyler Robinson, has a fate that lies in the hands of the law as the case against him moves on. Seeking a fair trial, the murder suspect has made certain requests, including not having the court sessions televised.
Charlie Kirk’s Murder Left Utah Woman Traumatized

Kirk’s shocking and tragic death was a gruesome sight to behold, and some are yet to recover from the incident even months later. The State of Utah has reportedly paid for therapy for someone who claims she was left traumatized by the deadly incident.
TMZ obtained court documents that showed that the Utah Office for Victims of Crime has paid $260 for mental health therapy for a witness who was present when Kirk was shot. The woman named Dana Anquoe was reportedly present on the grounds of Utah Valley University during the Turning Point USA campus debate session where the political activist was gunned down.
The emotional aftereffect of his painful death lives on in the minds of people like Anquoe, who has been labeled as a victim tied to the case as per the court documents. The amount paid for the reported victim’s therapy may increase with time, as the paperwork details that additional crime-related therapy or other qualifying expenses may pop up between now and September 2028.
The State Of Utah May Have The Therapy Bills Placed On The Alleged Killer’s Account

While Anquoe is not directly suing Kirk’s alleged killer, the filing made in court is a restitution/ subrogation notice, implying that Robinson may eventually bear the financial cost.
The State of Utah is telling the court via its filing that it has already covered the cost for Anquoe’s therapy connected to the case and wants to preserve the right to get reimbursed later if Robinson is ordered to pay restitution.
As it stands, no money has been recovered by Utah, and the claims of the total amount owed for reimbursement, if so ordered, sit at $260. The current therapy cost is subject to a potential increase, as the documents show that the claim remains open through September 2028.
Pain and grief do not go away quickly, but neither does trauma, and this case is a testament. Anquoe might be the first of many to come forward with the aftereffects of witnessing the painful death of the Turning Point USA founder.
Tyler Robinson Wanted His Trial Behind Close Doors

The suspected murderer’s legal team pushed for cameras to be taken out of the courtroom during the trial. They claimed that the media’s presence would negatively affect their clients’ right to a fair trial. Prosecutors kicked back at the claim, filing a motion to allow the cameras to remain in the courtroom during proceedings.
They explained in their filing that their request for the allowance of cameras is because “keeping court proceedings as public as possible helps to quell and contradict the tide of misinformation,” while secrecy fuels conspiracy theories. The Blast reported that they also cited a “number of conspiracy theories” that have made waves since Kirk’s death, including one that ropes Isreal into the mix as a mastermind behind the fatal shooting.
The political activist’s widow, Erika, also says she wants cameras present during the trial. She previously noted that the media coverage was present at the Utah college where her husband was shot, and while all over her, she was in mourning, hence they “deserve to have cameras in [the courtroom].”
Kirk’s Alleged Killer Also Wanted A Prosecutor Off The Case

In February, Robinson’s lawyers had their day in court when they fought to have a prosecutor removed from the case on the basis of an alleged bias. They claimed that it was a conflict of interest that Deputy County Attorney Chad Grunander’s adult daughter was in the audience during the September 2025 shooting.
The Blast shared that their argument during the February 3 hearing lasted several hours, but a decision on the potential disqualification of the prosecutors was not reached by Judge Tony Graf. During the following hearing, which took place on February 24, the judge did not grant their request, stating that there was no risk of bias that could potentially affect the fairness of the trial.
The defense previously noted that the move to seek the death penalty indicated a “strong emotional reaction” from Grunander. Graf explained that the daughter’s presence “did not materially influence” the prosecutors’ actions or their decision to seek the death penalty.
Charlie Kirk’s Widow Slammed With Claims Of Foul Play

Earlier this month, mixed reactions to an audio recording allegedly made by Kirk before his death filled the internet. In the recording played at a TPUSA event, the right-wing activist named his wife, Erika, as his successor. This came after the board had already officially named Erika as the one to step into the late founder’s shoes.
Candace Owens ignited whispers with her reaction to the recording, where she claimed the clip sounds “very clearly edited” while pointing out some inconsistencies. Owens and Kirl were close friends during his lifetime; they often attended campus debates, shows, and rallies together, voicing their message.
Owens also alleged that Turning Point USA released only an audio recording and not a video clip alongside, due to worries that the video may be deemed AI-generated, which may be a claim with an undertone. “Why are you bringing up AI? Am I hallucinating, or does Turning Point regularly share videos of Charlie Kirk all the time? So why is this one you’re worried about people thinking it’s AI?” she said.
As shared by The Blast, internet users echoed Owen’s thoughts, questioning why Kirk would want to put the mother of his children in the same position that got him killed. Others stated that a video would strongly support TPUSA’s claims, raising questions as to why the clip remains unreleased.
