President Donald Trump And Melanie Trump Slammed Jimmy Kimmel For His Insensitive Jokes

The president, who was quickly ushered out of the venue when the attack was unleashed on April 25, 2026, has picked a bone with TV personality Kimmel over his previous comment about Melania glowing like an expectant widow.
Trump has now reacted to the statement following the shooting incident, labeling it as a despicable call to violence and far beyond the pale. The president took to his Truth Social account with a statement about the media personality’s comments and called for his immediate withdrawal from Disney and ABC.
Federal prosecutors have accused Allen of seeking to assassinate Trump and have been charged with three criminal counts, which include trying to assassinate the president, interstate transportation of weapons, and discharge of a firearm during a violent crime.
The WHDC Alleged Shooter Was Reportedly An Anti-Trump Activist

Following the assassination attempt, Trump described Allen on Sunday, April 26, as a very sick guy who hates Christians. He added that his family has also raised an alarm about his troubling behavior in the past.
As shared by Fox News, law enforcement agents confirmed that Allen had morphed into a full-blown Trump critique and had attended at least one of the three “No Kings” protests organized over the past year by Democratic-leaning nonprofits.
They include organizations like Indivisible, MoveOn, and American Federation of Teachers, alongside a network of socialist organizations, like People’s Forum, the Party for Socialism and Liberation, and the ANSWER Coalition.
Barack Obama Kicks Against Any Form Of Violence After The Shooting

The former president of the United States of America took to social media to register his displeasure at the wave of violence that hit the White House over the weekend.
As stated by The Blast, Obama stressed that despite the political differences that exist between himself and Trump, he would never be party to embracing violence, especially in a democracy.
“It’s also a sobering reminder of the courage and sacrifice that U.S. Secret Service Agents show every day. I’m grateful to them – and thankful that the agent who was shot is going to be okay,” the politician emphasized.
Footage from the shooting attempt showed chaos erupting in the venue, with Trump and his vice president being evacuated from the building, and other attendees found shelter beneath the table in the venue.
WHCD Has Now Been Rescheduled Following The Shooting

Since the unfortunate development, The Blast stated that White House officials affirmed that the White House Correspondents’ Dinner would be postponed. Plans have reportedly been made to reschedule it within the next month as the Federal Bureau of Investigation has continued intensifying efforts to gather evidence.
Investigative agents will reportedly focus on digital evidence like phones, laptops, and online activity, which were recovered from the suspect’s home. The authorities will also consult with neighbors to map out his recent movements.
Family members of Allen have also previously alerted the authorities about some troubling writings that were linked to him. His brother had also contacted the New London Police Department shortly before the shooting happened.
