Sherrone Moore‘s controversy continues to escalate with shocking new claims.

The former University of Michigan football coach has his name in lights after losing his job for engaging in an affair with a member of staff. Following his dismissal from the university, the coach’s name remained on the lips as he got entangled with the law for threatening self-harm.

Sherrone Moore was slammed with serious charges since his arrest last December and is paying for them outside jail. While he has some sportsmen in his corner, some fans are anything but sorry for the former coach.

Sherrone Moore’s Accuser Says She Wanted To Keep Her Baby

Paige Shiver, who aired Moore’s dirty laundry, revealing their inappropriate relationship, which went on while she worked at the University of Michigan, has dropped a surprising update about their romantic ordeal. She claims that during their affair, she got pregnant with the ex-coach’s baby.

Shiver’s news has left fans wide-eyed as she spilled the tea during an interview with ABC News. She was brought to tears as she explained that she could not keep the baby due to medical reasons, even though she deeply wanted to. The assistant revealed that she suffers from Pompe Disease and was warned by her doctors that it would be unsafe for her to carry the baby to term.

According to the Cleveland Clinic, Pompe disease is a genetic condition that causes progressive muscle weakness, especially in the skeletal muscles of your hips, legs, shoulders, arms, and diaphragm, in addition to enlargement of the heart, liver, and tongue. This revelation brings Moore’s scandal back into the spotlight after months of silence since he walked away with no jail term.

Paige Shiver Initially Denied Their Relationship Claims

TMZ reports that the former assistant also admitted that in October 2025, when questions from the university arose, she shut them down, denying their affair because she did not trust the process. Shiver explained that she waited to formally speak up months later, in December, when the university hired lawyers.

She also disclosed that at the time their relationship had gone on for over two years, as it began in 2022, months after the university hired her. Furthermore, Shiver said that the University of Michigan and other people in the football program were aware of the inappropriate relationship she had with the head coach.

According to her, “they cared more about winning football games, not having another scandal, and trying to protect the head coach” than her feelings. Later in the interview, Shiver told listeners that Moore had used manipulation tactics during their relationship. “[He] had complete control over me, over my emotions, over my career, and he knew that, and he used it against me,” she revealed.

Inside The Ex-Football Coach’s Charges

Allegedly, after Moore was fired, he showed up at Shiver’s house, confronted her, and things went downhill from there. According to the authorities, Moore allegedly grabbed knives and a pair of scissors and threatened to harm himself before his wife, Kelli, called the police. Following his arrest on December 10, the former coach was slammed with felony home invasion, plus misdemeanor stalking and breaking-and-entering charges.

He pleaded no contest to the two misdemeanors, malicious use of a telecommunications device in the context of a domestic relationship and trespassing. Prosecutors dropped charges of felony home invasion, misdemeanor stalking, and misdemeanor breaking and entering. The charges got dropped because there was evidence that Moore had been given a security code to enter Shiver’s home and that she had called him during the alleged tirades.

Defense attorney Ellen Michaels revealed that Moore got no jail time for the charges but 18 months of probation for each count, which will be served concurrently. As reported by NBC News, the probation did not advocate for the former coach to get jail time, and the judge also ordered that he stay off alcohol, marijuana, and continue mental health treatment.

Super Bowl Champ Shannon Sharpe broke his silence about the former University of Michigan head coach’s sexual scandal, saying, “I know what that storm is like.” Sharpe previously came under heat after a 22-year-old woman sued him for millions with claims that he sexually assaulted her and physically abused her.

Sharpe explained that most times, when people hear about these situations, they feel it would never come to their doorstep. He also noted that a person could never truly understand what it feels like to be in those shoes unless they have personally gone through the pain. “Until you’re in that pressure cooker. Until you are in the eye of the storm,” the Champ remarked.

Sharpe added that he totally understood how Moore feels, sharing that he was saddened by the turn of events. As reported by The Blast, the Super Bowl champion likened the situation to the feeling of having everything crumble before one’s eyes without having much support to lean on.

Fans Say Sherrone Moore Should Not Be Pitied

In reaction to Sharpe’s comment about the scandal, fans raved, claiming that portraying Moore as the victim did not sit right with them. They expressed their thoughts on social media, pointing out that the former football coach brought the woes upon himself and thus does not deserve sympathy.

“Self-inflicted. No sympathy. Powerful rich men who can’t control sexual urges and ruin everything,” a user wrote. “Dude talking bout the eye of the storm when the storm is literally a lack of self-control and respect,” another added. Other fans stressed that many powerful men have ceased to take responsibility for their actions and would rather play the victim card when their dirty secrets are exposed. They stressed that the situation was just the aftermath of their consensual decisions.

A netizen clapped directly at Sharpe, saying that his statement seemed misleading given the facts. “Why is Shannon talking like this is something that happened to Moore instead of something that Moore literally caused himself? We don’t know what it’s like to be in that situation cause most of us aren’t dumb enough to put ourselves there,” they wrote on X.
