Christine Quinn‘s estranged husband wants to put a stop to his ongoing financial predicament!
The “Selling Sunset” star’s former spouse has broken his silence on their ongoing divorce, stating that he has been experiencing financial difficulties since servicing their Los Angeles home monthly and is now ready to sell it.
Christine Quinn and her ex, Christian Dumontet, parted ways in 2024 after the latter was arrested on domestic violence charges involving the reality star and their son, Christian Georges Dumontet.
Christine Quinn’s Estranged Husband Wants Sole Legal Ownership Of Matrimonial Home

The reality star’s former husband claimed that he has been spending $27,000 every month on a Los Angeles residence, which they once stayed in. He is now pushing for sole legal ownership to enable him to sell it and stop a financial freefall.
According to Dumontet in the court document, he needs the home to be legally awarded to him to help him pay off the mortgage. He expressed his desire to sell off the property as soon as possible to help him stop the continuous financial loss stemming from maintaining a non-income-producing asset.
The Daily Mail stated that Dumontet bought the property as an investment in 2019, months before he got married to Quinn, and is currently sinking into a $3.5 million mortgage debt alongside thousands of dollars owed on rent, security, and upkeep expenses. “This is not sustainable. I require immediate court intervention to stop this financial hemorrhaging,” the reality star’s ex continued.
The Media Personality Detailed Facing Hardship Post-Split

Quinn and her son found a new home in Texas after the end of her marriage to Dumontet, following the emotional turmoil of her husband’s arrest for alleged domestic abuse. The Blast shared that the reality star’s ex was also taken into custody due to violating an emergency protective order, which she secured against him.
The “Selling Sunset” star revealed that she and her son left their home in Los Angeles to start afresh in Texas, crashing on couches, staying in hotels, and living temporarily with friends. Quinn revealed that she could not gain access to her accounts for money because her estranged husband had control of them.
She confessed to feeling stripped of her identity and resources, which was traumatizing and challenging. “People really don’t know this. I was hacked out of my entire life. I was stripped of my entire life overnight — I literally had nothing. And it was dehumanizing,” she declared.
Christine Quinn’s Side Of the Story Of Her Marriage

The TV star and her ex did not part ways spontaneously; it was a culmination of events that had happened for years. Quinn confessed that her marriage became unhealthy, but her resilience to see things through could not hold her back from leaving the marriage.
She noted that Dumontet’s behavior was gradually impacting her son negatively, and she knew it was time to leave the union for good. The reality star added that her estranged partner also tried to control her movements by deploying manipulative ways to restrict her from going out.
He would also force her to miss out on important official deadlines by delaying her, shutting gates, and blocking the exit. Her move to Texas finally offered her the relief she had been seeking for, away from the chaos in her marriage.
The Netflix Star’s Divorce Attorney Stepped Aside From The Case

Quinn and her estranged beau are still stuck in the contentious battle, especially after her divorce attorney requested permission from the judge to withdraw from the case.
As noted by The Blast, Quinn’s lawyer Hossein Berenji explained that his request was borne out of a significant decline in the relationship between them. Berenji requested for an emergency hearing to address the matter because their relationship had broken down and there is no sign of reconciliation in sight; thus, representing her would not be a good idea.
Quinn and her estranged husband’s conflict began when the police intervened after the Netflix star accused Dumontet of throwing a bag of glass that accidentally struck their son. Dumontet filed for divorce after his release from police custody, citing irreconcilable differences and requesting for sole custody of their son, and termination of Quinn’s right to spousal support.
Christine Quinn’s Estranged Husband Moved On With Mystery Woman

Nearly two years into their divorce, the Netflix star’s estranged husband revealed that he has found love and family again in the arms of a new woman. The tech guru shared pictures of his new family on Instagram, which featured his girlfriend and their one-year-old son at different locations.
From Monaco to France, Dumontet and his beautiful family were all smiles, taking selfies and wearing bright smiles. As for Quinn, her son’s safety influenced her decision to leave the marriage because his actions put their infant in harm’s way.
Quinn and Dumontet got married in a secret ceremony on December 15, 2019, in an elaborate, gothic-themed wedding which took place at a cathedral in downtown Los Angeles and was later shown on the season 3 finale of “Selling Sunset.”
