Meghan Markle has been hit by an alleged coordinated online attack after she and Prince Harry’s recent trip to Australia, with AI-generated and doctored images from the visit flooding social media.
The posts, including one tied to her stop at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, sparked a backlash from fans, who accused critics of deliberately pushing negative narratives about the Duchess.
The fresh wave of abuse comes after Markle claimed at a mental health conference that she had been the “most trolled person” in the world over the past decade.
A.I. Generated Photos Of Meghan Markle Surface Online
Several AI-generated and doctored images tied to Markle’s recent Australia trip with Prince Harry have surfaced online in the wake of the couple’s public engagements. During the visit, the Duke and Duchess made a series of appearances, including a stop at the Royal Children’s Hospital and a meeting with war veterans.
Some of the altered images were later shared in a Reddit community, prompting Markle’s supporters to speak out. In one image linked to her hospital visit, she is seen hugging a young patient while appearing to wear a nonchalant expression, drawing criticism from some users online.
However, a note attached to one of the posts alleged that the same online community has been posting negative commentary about Meghan since 2019.
Fans Rush to Meghan’s Defense

Markle’s fans rallied to her defense online, condemning the posts as hateful and deeply unfair.
Several users criticized those sharing the altered images, arguing that using a photo depicting a child to push negative narratives about the Duchess crossed a line.
“Using an innocent child to further their racist hate campaign,” one fan wrote. “This is a new low.”
Others suggested the posts reflected deeper prejudice, with some accusing Markle’s critics of racism.
“People need to touch grass. Or stop being racists. Maybe both,” another user said.
Some fans also pointed to the use of edited or AI-generated images as proof that critics were struggling to find legitimate reasons to attack her.
“The fact that they have to produce fake photos to be able to criticize her tells us everything we need to know. THEY are the evil ones, not Meghan,” a third user penned.
Meghan Markle Decried Being The ‘Most Trolled’ Person

The latest controversy comes just days after Markle spoke to students at Australia’s Swinburne University of Technology about the importance of using social media healthily. During the discussion, she reflected on the online abuse she has faced over the past decade.
Markle said the attacks intensified after her 2018 wedding to Harry, asserting that she had gone on to become the “most trolled person” in the world.
The mother of two also argued that social media companies are not always motivated to curb harmful behavior, suggesting that users often have to take greater responsibility for protecting their own mental well-being.
The Former Actress Also Discussed Being ‘Attacked’ In Public

During an appearance at the Her Best Life women’s retreat at the InterContinental Sydney Coogee Beach, Markle spoke candidly with host Gemma O’Neill about living under intense public scrutiny and enduring attacks in the public eye for more than a decade.
According to the Daily Telegraph, the Duchess said the last ten years have been “very hard” because of everything she has gone through. At the same time, she noted that the period had also brought some of the happiest moments of her life, including marrying Harry and welcoming their children, Archie and Lilibet.
Markle also suggested that many of the harsh comments directed at her say more about other people’s “projections” than about her.
Meghan Markle Shares Recap Of Australian Trip

Following the trip, Markle gave followers a glimpse of the tour by posting a video recap to her Instagram Story. The montage featured moments from her time in Australia with Harry, including scenes of the couple holding hands and showing light affection as they moved between various engagements.
She also shared a clip of their return to their Montecito home, where they were greeted with a surprise welcome. In the video, a “Welcome Home” note could be seen hanging above the doorway.
Another post appeared to show gifts waiting for the family, including children’s books, cookies, and a sweet handwritten note addressed to Lilibet.
