Rapper Future gets a blast from the past!
The musician’s ex-girlfriend, Layla, wants a Florida court to take action on the paternity of a child they welcomed together in 2017 and also assume some fatherly responsibilities, but the rapper wants a different arrangement.
Rapper Future has, over the years, expanded his brood significantly, welcoming eight kids from eight different women, with the paternity of the ninth one still under discussion.
Rapper Future Wants The Court To Dismiss The Florida Case
The rapper filed in January 2026 that the Florida case should be thrown out or moved to Arizona, which is the proper jurisdiction, because he already filed his case in the state. Future continued that he admitted he is the father of a son named Kash Wilburn with the initials K.W. in Arizona.
He revealed in the Arizona case that he had been voluntarily paying Layla a sum of $3,500 monthly in child support. Layla also confirmed that Future admitted he is the father of their son, but she wants the court to make paternity official.
The biggest demand in her filing is that a court- ordered legally binding arrangement for the child support, alongside fulfilling two years of retroactive child support. As reported by TMZ, Layla also filed a paternity suit in Florida seeking official legal confirmation that Future is the father of her son, born in 2017.

In March, The Blast stated that the mother of Future’s second son, Brittni Mealy, claimed that the rapper had defaulted on an important order made by the court over their son and therefore deserved to be incarcerated.
Mealy’s demands in court stemmed from a 2023 court order where the judge ruled that Future increase the child support for their then-10-year-old son, Prince, by at least $2,000. Mealy revealed that Future obtained a $500,000 life insurance policy, which named her as the trustee for Prince, hence wants her to be thrown behind bars and held in contempt until the life insurance policy issue is resolved.
The judge had asked for an increase in the amount allocated to Mealy monthly in 2023 based on the increase in his net worth compared to when he was ordered to pay $3,000 in 2014 for the boy. Mealy had earlier accused Future of failing to meet up with his scheduled parenting time and also refused to bear additional expenses for their son, leaving her to carry the cost in Future’s deliberate absence.

The rapper, who has never been married to any of his teeming baby mamas, welcomed his first child, Jakobi, with Jessica Smith in 2002, and opted to remain co-parents after a failed relationship. Despite this mutual decision, Smith and Future have found themselves in court over child support payments and paternity drama. In 2016, Smith demanded that Future increase financial support for Jakobi while being a very negligent parent.
That was not the end of the rapper’s legal woes with his baby mamas, as Eliza Seraphin, who welcomed Reign Wilburn with him in 2019, also dragged him to court over non-payment of child support and paternity. Future had filed that there is a dark cloud over his status as the father of Reign because Seraphin had previously claimed she was in it to earn money from the rapper through their daughter. Future also attempted to trash the lawsuit and gag Seraphin from publicly speaking about him.
However, the court ordered that a DNA test be taken in 2020, which ultimately proved that he was the father and was then ordered to pay $3200 in monthly child support. Another baby mama, Cindy Parker, also headed to court after a DNA test proved her child, Legend Wilburn, and Reign were 99% likely to be half-siblings, although the suit was dropped days later, with Future still not claiming Legend.

Future and Donna Dafi were first spotted together in 2024 at the Paris Fashion Week. Dafi was later identified as a German singer and influencer who began singing and dancing at the age of five. As noted by Capitalxtra, her brother works alongside her as a DJ and music producer.
Dafi is also of German, Albanian, and Nigerian descent, with her Spotify bio revealing that her Grandfather was a tribal king in Nigeria. Before their sighting, Future was linked to a model named Tatiana in late 2023 after fans spotted affectionate comments from him under his post.
The rapper was also linked with Lori Harvey in late 2019 and early 2020, although they reportedly parted ways since then. Future also dated successful musician Ciara from 2012 until August 2014 and even got engaged on her 28th birthday in 2013, welcoming their son Future Zahir Wilburn in May 2014 before parting ways months later.
